This is a great place! We booked it for a month. I worried a little worried that it might be too long to be away from our grandkids. The time flew by. We were a short walk from Neptune Beach. Great beach. We walked the beach (about two miles worth) every day that we could..The property was just right for us. Very clean. They had a book telling us about the area,. What I really liked was that the ‘local’ place were recommended- That’s what we like. The owner was quick to respond if we had any questions. I’m glad I found it and would go back again sometime.

This second story vintage beach cottage is in a great location in Neptune Beach, only a 3 min walk to the beach and very close to many great restaurants in Atlantic Beach and Beaches Town center. It was clean and roomy with basically two living areas, very comfortable queen mattress ( didn't try the twins) and well stocked kitchen. Only one bathroom for two people was fine but could be tricky with another couple. Front deck was a plus. On the downside for this "mature" couple, there were quite a few back stairs to navigate and no washer/dryer. Dan and his daughter were excellent hosts and took care of a couple of issues ASAP. Great lodging for a very reasonable price.

Tears literally filled my eyes upon departure. My husband and I celebrated Easter and our 27th Wedding Anniversary at this amazing spot!! Dan was an absolutely fabulous host—prompt, personal, and so gracious. His home, our home, on the top floor, became our little slice of heaven by the sea. The cottage has unbelievable charm and is the quintessential beach house. Rich, old wooden scratched floors filled with love and comfy beach couches and chairs for reading. Cool nooks filled with charm. Unbelievably super-duper clean, too—baseboards to ceiling. A big plus! "The Treehouse" has everything you need. And most importantly, nothing you don't! Sweet, quiet, and easy. The front porch is awesome with a big, open sky for just resting and relaxing under the palms and watching the sun move ... because that's what you do on vacation:). The neighbors I met going to and fro to the powdery and wide white beach were delightful characters that added to the charm of it all, as well! Go again? Absolutely!! Already booked. Its not the Taj Mahal, but its well priced, comfortable and so very close to the beach. Large balcony to sit outside is great for winding down in evening.

Very quiet neighborhood, great owner to work with and reasonable pricing considering the area. With a little TLC this place would be unforgettable.

Where do I start.It was a last minute decision to book a place for a month.We have family that live in Neptune and this house was close.Dan the owner met us upon arriving and immediately made us feel welcome.He gave us a tour and explained house rules and told us we could text him anytime.The upstairs apartment was very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home.The beach is a short walk away and when you sit on the outside deck you can hear the ocean.We want to come back next year and would recommend this charming beach house for a great stay in Jacksonville.
