This is a fantastic base for 2-3 days to explore the Highlands. The hosts are wonderful and the breakfast is fantastic. Boat of Garten is a very nice village and you can have lunch or dinner at Armstrongs Restaurant or the hotel - both are a one to two minute walk away. We dined at both and the food is good. There is also a small very good convenience store. Recommended outings and hikes are close by at Loch Garten (fantastic forest walk) and Nethy Bridge village (next to the river). Nethy Bridge is a small village a few minutes drive from Boat of Garten. The Nethy Bridge House (coffee and cake and sandwiches) is a must - wonderful little cafe/ restaurant for lunch or tea and cake. We also went to the Glenmore Visitor Center for nice walks. For golfers there is the Boat of Garten golf club - challenging course with undulating fairways - but very high visitor green fees. You can have a Highland golf experience at the nearby Abernethy golf club (9 hole course) at a reasonable price. We had a fantastic time - highly recommended.

Applegrove B&B is a lovely space to stay in the Caingorm national park. Our host, Fiona, was so lovely and welcoming. Excellent location,communication and value for money.

From the very friendly welcome and exquisite home-baked lemon drizzle cake, in depth personal guide of facilities thru to the excellent breakfast, with fresh fruit, yoghurts, excellent cheese & meat selection, the fabulous cooked breakfast choices on offer this cosy & and very comfy place is a must stay.
With this attention to detail (every home comfort you could wish for) its a no brained.
when was the last time someone with an O.B.E. cooked your breakfast.
Simply put, if you're lucky enough to get a vacancy, stay at Applegrove!
There were absolutely no negatives from booking to checkout. 11/10 from us.
We can't wait to go back.

The property was absolutely wonderful, everything was so clean, the room was beautiful, cozy and perfect for us. Fiona and Robbie are fantastic, Fiona is a incredible cook, and they are just the nicest couple. They were so helpful and gave us so many helpful tips. I can’t say enough of how wonderful Applegrove was for us!! Thank you soooo much for a fabulous stay

Fiona is a very nice and friendly host, who provides some useful local info and always prepare some tasty snack and cakes for us in room <3 The room is much exceeded my expectations, which is very cozy, tidy and the cleanliness is impeccable. We felt soooooo comfortable to stay here and highly recommend to everyone : )

the property was clean, tidy ,warm and welcoming everything we needed was there. Breakfast was freshly made plentiful and very tasty. Room was spacious adequately equipped and the bed was comfortable.
we also enjoyed some homemade baking on arrival and during our stay very nice.

easy access and parking, very clean and a warm welcome. We were delighted with the plentiful continental breakfast , made a pleasant change from usual Scottish fare.
the En-suite was a few steps along landing and could have meant disturbing other guests in the night , but it wasn’t an issue and I would stay again .

Lovely comfortable accommodation in central location. Our host Sheila could not have made us more welcome, even organising a meal at the Golf Club for us as we had difficulty arranging anything for ourselves. Breakfast was lovely, cooked to order at a time of our choice. We are frequent visitors to the area and will certainly be looking to go back to Applegrove. Highly recommend.

The attention to detail in the work carried out in the last two years. Lots of wardrobe /drawers. Comfy bed. not en suite, but not a concern. Good choice for breakfast.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! Fiona was very welcoming! Our room was so comfy and had all added extras to make our stay just ideal! Even REAL coffee & French Press! Incredible!

The reviews of TripAdvisor gave me the impression this was a small, friendly B&B with comfortable stylish rooms - this was the case - it completely met my expectations.. The hosts were very friendly and we enjoyed talking to them - they also gave us useful suggestions for walks. The room was well furnished, clean & a very comfy bed. We would definitely recommend it and would be very happy to stay there again.

Nice room, quiet area, good access to Aviemore and surrounding area. Nice breakfast, lovely selection in the fresh fruit salad. Good quality complimentary toiletries and pleasant hosts. Would happily return.

Very enjoyable stay - we certainly wished we would have stayed longer! Our room was spacious and very comfortable, and our hosts were most welcoming and warm. Breakfast was another highlight - incredibly good and varied. The village of Boat of Garten is very quiet and enjoyable, much better alternative than staying in Aviemore in our opinion.

The TV in our room has Netflix. Proper shampoo, conditioner, body and bath wash were provided. The place was sparkling clean. Breakfast exceeded our expectation. It was a generous spread of yohgurt, cereals, granola, jam, marmalade, tomatoes, and fruits to start. In addition, there is a choice between eggs on toast or a selection of breads, cheeses, and cold cuts. Hosts are kind and very welcoming. My wife left a pair of earrings in the bath and Fiona gladly posted it to our address free of charge.
