The house needs some upkeeping

We stayed at GetawayNpetto in Fort Chambray for almost two weeks during our hiking and climbing vacation in Gozo. We had a perfect time here. The location is phenomenal with gorgeous 360 degree views!!! Public transportation (bus & ferry, bus stops Chambray or Mgarr), a large supermarket (Ta Dirjanu Foodstore) and several restaurants are all close by. Several beaches and access to the coastal hiking trail are 'around the corner' too. Yet the apartment and its direct surroundings are peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The community pool is huge and clean, decorated with beautiful palm trees. The property is very well equipped, maintained and cared for. We missed nothing at all during our stay here. The living & dining room was lovingly decorated & comfortably furnished. The kitchen was fully kitted, including a big fridge with a freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine (capsules), and all sorts of cooking equipment. The bedrooms were spaciouse and the beds very comfortable. Bedlinen, bath products and plenty of towels, including large pool towels, were provided. We enjoyed every moment inside the cozy house as well as on its rooftop terrace - such a wonderful view of the harbor, the sea, the costline and Gozo's skyline.... Communication with the host in advance and during our stay was top. Check-in & check-out were well organized. Our host was very competent, friendly and flexible. I have to admit that this holiday house is the best I have ever spent my vacation in, not only on Gozo; my travel colleague was also impressed. So we hope to come back soon and have another opportunity to stay here. Huge thanks & kind regards from Berlin.

The area and views are amazing! Spacious roof terrace and quite well planned rooms.

The apartment was cold, dirty and in need of proper refurbishment. Using the upstairs shower resulted in a pool on the floor each time, the downstairs bathroom was wet on the floor without us even using it. The towels provided were clean but utterly useless as they didn't absorb any moisture at all (We ended up using one we brought ourselves). The kitchen is well equipped but you have to bring everything in order to use it. With everything I mean that there isn't even salt. There was an old empty water cooler bottle on display as you enter but no drinking water in the apartment.

Location and tranquility

The location and the view is breathtaking and the place is small and cosy and ideal for a short holiday

Maybe some heaters in the bathrooms and tumble dryer and more towels.
