This charming cottage is on a bird-rich cove on Gouldsboro Bay. Exquisite sunrises and moonrises. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The host is genial and always willing to offer help. We highly recommend Watersedge.

This is a beautiful area of Maine. The A-frame provides picturesque views of the bay and glorious sunrises to greet you in the morning. It’s a beautiful spot to get away from civilization. We enjoyed evenings by the fire and days exploring the region.
Scott was a great host.

Beautiful spot right on the ocean. Very rustic, well loved cottage. Had everything we needed, comfortable, close to so many things to do and see. Rally nice to see the changing tides and swim at high tide from the dock. Very poor internet, and the bugs! Not much I think you can do about either, and the bugs were only bad from dusk on through the night.

This is a very secluded and quiet A Frame cabin on the bay. It has amazing views and is so peaceful. The wharf is nice to sit on to enjoy the beautiful view. We watched lobster boats check traps in the mornings and enjoyed drinking our coffee on the porch overlooking the water just feet from us. When the tide is up you can hear the water right off the porch. Every morning was a beautiful view from the bedroom window. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful vacation this is the place to stay. It is roughly 1 hour from Bar Harbor which we appreciated not being in the middle of the crowds once we were done for the day. There are several things to do between the cabin and Bar Harbor. The National Park has so many trails and lakes and just anything outdoors you wanna do. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Scott the owner is a very nice man who gave us several tips on restaraunts and things to do. Very attentive and is there for any questions or needs.
Perfect place for a couple to spend some alone time together and unwind.

My husband and I are both veterans and we enjoyed a week away in Maine at the AFrame cabin. We visited Bangor and Bar Harbor while staying and was within 50-60 minutes from each. Tranquility and beauty arrived as soon as we entered our destination for the week and we enjoyed the wildlife and beauty of the point while staying there. If you are looking to unplug and find yourself looking at the water and scenery in a rustic and quiet place then this is where you should be.

My husband and I were looking to relax after a busy summer and dropping our son off for college. We were not disappointed! The cottage was perfectly situated overlooking the bay. I was able to watch the sunrise every morning with my coffee and the sounds of nature. We enjoyed sunrise on Cadillac Mountain, exploring the Schoodic Peninsula, meandering about Bar Harbor, and finishing our vacation with a sunset cruise on the Margaret Todd Schooner. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our perfect week! Thanks Scott for sharing this little slice of Heaven!

Morning coffee on the porch with spectacular views and cool breezes. Such a lovely respite from the Florida heat. Saw deer, hummingbirds, eagles and seals. Retro vibes in the A-Frame. Our host, Scott was quick to respond to any needs. Would stay there again!

Lovely place to rest! Scott stays in the house next door. He was very nice! Let us do as we pleased. There's a grill that we used to make dinner too.

We loved this property! It is comfortable for two, but in addition to a double bed and bath upstairs, it currently has two couches that could hold more guests in the downstairs living room area. Plus there is a second bathroom/shower downstairs. The furnishings are not fancy, but it has everything you need.

Rustic and wonderful! A new treat every time the tides went in and retreated!

My husband and I stayed in Scott’s cottage and are actually on our way home as I write this review! We are already missing Maine and our home away from home for the week. This place is just what is needed if you want to enjoy nature and clear your mind. The view cannot be matched, and there is no better way to enjoy a cup of coffee than watching the tide, a variety of birds, sunsets and fishing boats right out your front door. The cottage is clean and has everything you need to cook and make yourself at home for a much needed vacation. Scott answered any questions we had but allowed us to just enjoy our stay without interruption. Maine is a truly beautiful state and Scott’s cottage is a little hidden gem.

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant week here in August. Scott was very helpful whenever we needed anything. The attractive A-frame cabin was very comfortable and well equipped. Having bathrooms upstairs and down was very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, and the satellite TV and WiFi worked great. We used the gas grill twice and ate most of our meals on the front deck looking out to sea. The views across Gouldsboro Bay are great, and we enjoyed the visits of various shore birds at low tide. We also enjoyed day trips to both the Schoodic penninsula and Mt. Desert Island. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful setting and convenient to lots of great outdoor adventures. Great biking, hiking and kayaking nearby but also a great space to relax and do nothing. Scott is a fantastic host. Very knowledgeable about local restaurants and activities and very responsive to questions. We hated to leave and hope to return soon.

We spent two relaxing weeks in Scott's little A-frame cottage and didn't want to leave! Location is tranquil, place is super-clean, well-kept and fully equipped. Kitchen has just about everything you need, and there are guidebooks and games. Linens and towels in great shape. Bed soft but inviting. We loved coming home after being out exploring the area and especially enjoyed being right at the water's edge and seeing the tides come in and go out and the heron who frequented at low tide. Lots of birds. Scott was attentive to make sure we had everything we needed, and he was easy-going with our dogs who are not always so easy! The location is on a quiet road, so we could walk the dogs easily, occasionally seeing neighbors. Scott's house is about 100 feet from the cottage but there is still lots of privacy. Be aware the internet is slow and not reliable, but the relaxation the place offered, whether from the chairs on the deck and dock or the hammock in the yard totally outweighed that inconvenience. We can't wait to return!
