This was a perfect spot for a quiet girls’ weekend getaway. We were blessed with good weather, but the home has plenty of amenities for a rainy day. We spent most of our time admiring the amazing views from the screened back porch. We loved the property.

Everything was great! The kids had lots to do and the grown up cooked and relaxed! Location was great, nice indoor and outdoor features. We rode bikes, got in the jacuzzi and just hung out!!!

Wonderful long weekend at the Flip Flop Inn. Our family had a great time! We hope to come back when it is warm & enjoy the screened porch on the back. Beautiful sunsets!!

The whole proceeds of staying at the Flip Flop Inn was excellent and so easy! The views of the lake we amazing and the porch and outside accommodations were spectacular. We spent most of the time outside on the screened in porch, in the jacuzzi or playing corn hole! The house had everything we needed and the directions for lights and tv’s were clear and accurate. What an enjoyable long weekend!

We loved our long family weekend here. The view is fantastic, with particularly lovely sunsets from the awesome screened in porch! Our kids loved all the extra games and activities, and everyone loved going between the lake and hot tub (with a wonderful view of its own). We hope to return soon!

We had a wonderful time with our family, so many games to choose from to make family time fun. The views were stunning, the rooms were spacious and the house was beautiful.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property with beautiful views of the lake. The first floor living / recreation area was a huge hit with the 4 teenage boys we had with us for the trip. The boathouse was great to store our 21' boat with direct access to the lake. Love our stay and hope to visit again next year!!

The property location is amazing! I literally cried at how beautiful the lake was when I first walked on the back covered deck. Boat rental is a must! Sun sets are incredible! The house was perfect for my family and we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at the Flip Flop Inn! We had plenty of space for our family and the views at sunset were spectacular. The basement has a lot of games that were great when the kids were tired of playing in the lake. The owner was very responsive and kind when we had questions or concerns, too! I gave it 3 stars for cleanliness because the cleaning service skipped some spots before we arrived, but the owner contacted them and I have no doubt the next guests will have a spotless vacation home awaiting them!

Two families stayed for a week. All of us enjoyed the beautiful view and surroundings. The house is well maintained. We will come again.

John & Janice were wonderful communicators which helped me plan this trip for 8 girls coming from all areas. There were plenty of beds for everyone to sleep comfortably and the amenities were to die for. We didn't have the best weather but stayed plenty busy with all there was to do at the house and on the lake! The hot tub REALLY came in handy since we couldn't actually swim (too cold!). I really enjoyed being able to use the kayaks and go out for little trips on the lake throughout our stay. Very clean and comfortable, especially the bed in the master room. We have already recommended this place to friends/family.

The owner was very responsive since day one. We really enjoyed the view and kids enjoyed the lake. The kitchen has everything you might need. I’ve never been in a place where they ask to bring towels and linens but it was written in the guidelines so we brought. We definitely would come back.

The house was perfect for our group of 7 long time friends. Plenty of room for hanging out or being active and the sunset view was spectacular.

Gorgeous views especially from the master bedroom & outdoor spaces. The kitchen is not big but is well-appointed with whatever you may need. Was lovely to sit in the hot tub and take in the views. It's a little bit of a hike down to the boat ramp but you are rewarded with a nice breeze and swings to take it all in. Game room was good for the kids and had plenty of room for the whole family. Highly recommend.

This was my first time renting a Lake house at Lake Gaston. My kids, grandkids and myself really enjoyed it. The Flip Flop Inn has great views of the lake and beautiful sunset views. On the top level they have a nice size gas grill outside of the screened in porch which you can watch all the boats and water skiers go by while you grill out. Downstairs they have so many games, Wii System, Foosball, Pop a Shot Basketball game, Dart Board, Pac Man, Donkey Kong and other games on the machine and a Ping Pong table which my grandkids played on most of the time. They have a nice firepit which my grandkids made smores from at night time. Also a really nice Hot Tub to relax in. They even have a outdoor shower there. And I might add a lot of seating for everyone and Hammock's outside at the house and at the boat dock. And there is also a Gazebo on the way down to the boat dock. The floating boat dock is 2 stories and they have everything down there that you need to enjoy the lake with. My son's fished off of it and one day a boat stopped by and gave them some fish that they had caught that day. We all had a great time and looking forward to going back again.

This was my first time renting a Lake house at Lake Gaston. My kids, grandkids and myself really enjoyed it. The Flip Flop Inn has great views of the lake and beautiful sunset views. On the top level they have a nice size gas grill outside of the screened in porch which you can watch all the boats and water skiers go by while you grill out. We have rented many homes on vrbo and we have never had an owner as kind and responsive as John was! He was so quick to answer our questions and was very helpful with anything we needed. The house was a great fit for our family vacation. The 6 bedrooms were nice so everyone had their space. We absolutely loved the outdoor space and spent much of our time down at the water. The 2 story dock has hammocks, swings, kayaks, chairs, tubes & everything you need to enjoy lake life! We loved the views from the hot tub and the sunsets were gorgeous! Lake Gaston is just beautiful and we would definitely go back. Thanks again John for opening up your home to us. God bless
