It was a great little place! Roomier than it looks in the pictures. (With a bit of searching) the kitchen had everything I needed for cooking meals. The beds were comfy. The next door chickens provided entertainment, lol. Overall we had no complaints, but it was lucky that we brought our camp chairs for the table out on the back deck, as there were no chairs there. However, there is a table and chairs in the screened-in patio, which was very nice. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay here! Jack was an excellent host, you couldn’t ask for a better one ! We would recommend and stay here again! Thanks Jack for a great stay.

Clean environment, all amenities we needed for a short stay except a hairdryer. Convenient location to our event.
Blower fan was making a different sound so my husband checked it and changed the very neglected filter, problem fixed. We did need to sweep and clean the screen porch area as it had been neglected. Overall satisfied for the price, Jack is a very kind gentleman!

We came to Tampa to see a concert at Raymond James Stadium. The place was as advertised. Older home but good location. Close to what we needed and quiet neighborhood. Love the water in the back. Did not use the kayaks but nice that they are available for guests

Older but decent trailer. As advertised. I did she a couple cockroaches and had a wasp in my bedroom. But he allowed me to plug in my freezer while I waited for my rental. All in all a good stay. Thanks Jack!

The home is very beautiful very easy to get to. Local stores were very close by and this is a home I will most definitely rent again.

Old manufactured home. Clean. Bathrooms need to be added to pictures Canal was wonderful to watch the birds. If you fish it would be a great spot. Chicken next door very personable.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Jack"s rental. We were in town for the Dunedin Highland Games. This was perfect for us. We wish we would have had more time to enjoy the property, but the Games took up all our time. Would have loved to explore with the canoes and fish off the dock in the back. We definitely look forward to staying here again next year. We would highly recommend this rental. With two main bedrooms and two bathrooms this rental is great for couples or the family. Thanks again Jack for allowing us to stay at your rental.

The house was very clean and thoughtfully prepared for our stay. It is a bit older, so a bit quirky. The neighbors were a little noisy, but not egregiously so., and they always were quieted down by 10pm or earlier. The canal is beautiful with lots of birds to watch. Overall, I highly recommend this affordable, peaceful, off-the-beaten-track option.

My husband, myself and our 3 fur babies came Tampa for the Stevie Nicks concert at the Mid FL Credit Union Amphitheater at the Tampa fairgrounds. We found the home to be very affordable, convenient and centrally located to all attractions Tampa has to offer. There is even a Publix grocery store just blocks aways and several thrift stores 5 minutes away.
The home is exactly how it is advertised, it is not a new home but it is equipped and very affordable that sits on a canal. It is a 2 bedroom with each bedroom on each side in the back with a great view of the canal from the patio doors that opens to a patio deck. The home is comfortable, spacious, clean and took care of all our needs. The home has a front/side screened in porch, a fenced in backyard, and the deck off the bedrooms has chairs to sit and soak up the sun and water views. The home next to us had chickens with their coop along the side of the fence that had our dogs fascinated.
We also took the dogs for several walks around the neighborhood and we found everyone to be very friendly, especially the neighbor who gave us avocados right off his tree that was very delicious.
Thanks for allowing us to stay and we are looking forward to staying again when we come back to Tampa,
Michael, Marcus and our 3 fur babies

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. The best part is the canal access and kayaks/canoe on property. We enjoyed paddling out to the Bay!

Aging propert feels as comfortable as grandma's house! Exactly what he said it was and he reacted quickly to communications.

Landlord is very attentive
Jack was amazing and accommodating
He allowed for an early check in and a late check out. He even found a 5 gallon gas can we could use on my boat. We were able to dock the boat right outside in the canal. Jack provided information on the channel to get us out to the main water.
The first morning we were there we saw a dolphin catch his breakfast in the canal behind the property.
The property was spotless upon arrival. The linens and bedding smelled and felt freshly done. Other reviews says the home is dated and it is but once inside it felt like home away from home.
Everything from the gas station, grocery store and bait shops were all super close.
The only thing I would recommend is new bed pillows. Most are flat and not able to fluff but that is my own personal preference. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed to make any meal we wanted.
I have already reached out to Jack to book dates to stay again.

The place was older but clean. The trailer was open for our late arrival. Enjoyed sitting on the dock enjoying our morning coffee watching the fish jumping. My daughter enjoyed using the kayak. Kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed. Jack responded quickly to all messages before and during our stay. We will definitely stay here again

Step back in time to what it used to be like living in Florida, on a canal with access to Tampa Bay, back before developers bought up the remaining parcels with water access. Houses were simpler, though Jack has kept the amenities up to date over the years (the interior decor is eclectic but wholly appropriate for coastal Florida). I enjoyed five quiet, stress-free days here, and will make it a point to stay again soon!

Jack is a great host!
This is not the Ritz Carlton. However, it is a wonderful, homey & comfortable two bedroom home on the canal. It was clean & had all of the necessary amenities & then some! The neighbors are all very friendly & we felt right at home! As much as we loved our stay, there is some TLC that needs to be done. Overall however we were sad to leave at the end of the week & would definitely come back!

PROS: inexpensive, allows animals, nice owner, appliances in good working order, outside screen room & access to water w/canoe and kayaks a nice feature.
CONS: we knew not to expect stylish or updated, but we expected functionality , safety, & cleanliness. Kitchen: countertop delaminating and held in place with tape. Cupboard under sink had a large hole into which our cat disappeared for a period of time. We blocked with cookie sheets, cleaned the cupboard, and had to leave a chair in front of it when leaving the house as there was no way to keep him from pawing open the doors ( no knobs or handles). Had to wash out cupboards and contents in order to use ( the kind of grease /grime you would normally find on cupboard tops after years). Pulled out stove and fridge which had months of debris/food beneath and sticking After cleaning and putting out traps, bugs gone. Bathroom #1: ceiling falling in, walls separated from tub with old caulking that allowed leaks and mould, cabinets had years of dirt in them ( we did not use). Bathroom #2: tub & toilet collapsing into crawl space below/ floor has a big slant. Toilet not affixed to floor. Tub did not drain, nor did the diverter work well enough to take a shower. So much for renting a 2 bath place when 1 is unusable. Cabinets had YEARS of dirt in them (as in bath #1) & lg opening in bottom cabinet that could have been disastrous had our cat found it. Luckily he couldn’t open the slider door. Trim pieces falling off in numerous places, leaving finishing nails catching on clothes and skin if you happened to brush by too close. LR ceiling collapsing due to prior water damage, patched with tape. Carpet disgustingly filthy and stained. Floor hole at entrance of storage room covered with carpet - very unsafe. Electrical outlets chipped, broken, improperly installed, which *may* have been the cause of our cat being electrocuted, resulting in an Emerg visit to vet costing over $1200. (He survived).
Did not use deck attached to home as it appeared unsafe - loose boards,, protruding nails. Shed (which houses dryer) was filthy, reeked (cat pee?) , door not attached. My husband reattached door & removed 2 5-gal buckets of dirt before I’d do my laundry .Owner acknowledged door not being attached at the outset. Previous tenants told us they’d advised landlord of the bathroom issues. Seriously? Had we not already paid in full a/o had an alternative place to stay, we would NOT have stayed

Oldie but goodie
The place was a little dated but the location was perfect and I really enjoyed the kayaks. Just a few minor updates to the place would make it perfect.
