Perfect location for us! Short Walking distance to our daughter’s home where we have two young grandchildren, and near a great coffee shop and ‘kitchen’ gift store. The house was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming with holiday decorations! We enjoyed having two bathrooms and two full-size bedrooms as our adult son stayed with us.

My husband and I stayed with our 16-year-old and my mother in this lovely home in a great location. We spent early evenings on the side porch with a glass of wine and watching birds (a hummingbird owns the tree out front :) ). All the TVs have Roku so we could log in to our own accounts and keep up with our shows in the evening (login info is auto-deleted on our departure date). The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was equipped enough for us to make a nice seafood dinner our first night (Blue Water is a great fishmonger 5 minutes away). We ate at Fort Oak (an 11-minute walk) the second night which was pricey but a treat. There was a tray of treats and sparkling water in the fridge for our arrival - great for arriving travelers. The house is a 10-minute drive to the zoo and Balboa Park as well as the airport (but there's no air traffic noise). The only downside was that parking is on the street and it can be a popular neighborhood so parking in front of the house isn't always available. Within 20-30 minutes someone had always vacated a spot so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Perfect property for our stay!

This home is lovely. Immaculately clean and fairly well stocked. It’s an older home, but all modern conveniences have been updated. The showers had great water pressure, which is always a real treat. We’ll be checking this property when we return to San Diego.

The house was very tidy and had good instructions about how everything worked. The manager was very easy to work with. I'd stay here again.

Stay was fine once we were able to check in. House is very old but charming. Best thing about house is the two bedrooms with king size beds. Mattresses very comfy.

It’s becoming increasingly challenging to find quality stays with properties that match their advertised pics - this is A GREAT property which accomplishes just that! Nicely renovated bathrooms and well kept in general. Incredibly comfortable beds. Neighborhood is delightful. We walked in every direction daily. Would definitely stay again.

The Blue Door is a beautiful property that checked all the boxes for us. For a family of 5, having 2 bathrooms and plenty of space to spread out was ideal. Nicely appointed and excellent attention to detail for things like high-quality bath towels and providing beach chairs and towels. Cute, quiet neighborhood that is within walking distance for morning coffee - bonus! Highly recommend 👌

This was a nice, clean, spacious house and we would absolutely stay here again. The neighborhood is beautiful with a cute little downtown. The house had comfortable beds and plenty of space for all of us. the side yard was fenced in and it was great for my little kids to play in. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, plates/utensils, etc. It's everything you want in a rental and we loved it.

The Blue Door has lots of charm in a darling neighborhood. We really enjoyed exploring and experiencing the local stops within walking distance from the property. I was worried about the street parking but there was plenty available. Neighbors and locals were wonderful.

This was our second stay at the Blue Door property. The location is excellent and the home well appointed and clean. A surprise from our first stay was the addition of a good sized second bathroom. Close to Old Town and the Trolley, AMTRAK station, grocery stores, parks, downtown and Balboa Park.
Great place to stay.

The “Blue Door” house is beyond charming and was absolutely perfect for our family. The location is ideal, we loved our short walk for coffee and croissants in the morning, and we never had more than a 15 minute drive to anything we did in downtown San Diego. We could have easily stayed a month… or more! Definitely hoping to visit again in the near future.

This house is beautiful and is maintained to perfection. The owners truly understand the meaning of hospitality- all amenities and then some ( a bouquet of flowers and snacks upon arrival as one example).
