We loved everything about this property! It offered a nice amount of privacy and was close to Canaan Valley and Blackwater's Falls State Parks..Seneca Rocks and Dolly Sods weren't too far away either. They thought of everything as far as supplies and utensils! We had the use of two dog crates and they even left out food and water for our puppy! The appliances were awesome! I loved the oven and toaster. The fenced in front yard and the run for the dog 🐕 was fantastic. The home was tastefully decorated and well thought out. The beds were comfortable and the couch had a recliner in each end. We had a TV go on the fritz and they replaced it within a couple of hours! Very responsive team! I would gladly stay here again. We had a very memorable stay at the Lazy S! My 10 year old said she'd be happy to bring her kids here in the future!

We were disappointed that the previous renters did not follow the rules and clean up after their dogs. There are so few pet friendly places to rent that as a pet owner every renter needs to do their part to assure there are places for us to bring our pets to. We loved the fireplace and being able to relax in the evening after skiing. The hike around the nearby lake was refreshing and beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked to be able cook and eat in by the fire.

Wake up each morning and see the sunrise over the mountain in the distance through the trees off the back porch. Listen to the birds, crickets and gentle deer walking through the woods. The home is absolutely beautiful, it has everything you need and more. Our dogs felt welcome and safe in the front fenced in yard. We will definitely stay here again, without hesitation. If your family includes a furry member, this is the place for you!

It makes it very convenient for lake fun and private access to Dolly Sods wilderness. This house was very nice and convenient for lake access. It was private minus traffic coming down the street to the lake/houses back in the area. The place itself was super open, roomy and perfect for a pet to come along. Our dog loved the gated yard! Definitely would go back. The house was beautiful, convenient, reasonable priced and great for a dog.

Our 1.5 yr old also loved the cabin with the open floor plan, and running around the island. We truly enjoyed the privacy and security we felt while staying in this community. The local pizza spot Mamma Mia was delicious and we enjoyed two evenings of dinner take out from them. We would absolutely stay here again, and maybe bring some more family!

We were very pleased with the condition of the property, cleanliness and location to Sand Run Lake. We were pleasantly surprised by the propane fire pit on the deck and extremely pleased with the comfort of the beds (both master and Queen). The back deck had a dog gate available for enclosing the space which was another wonderful surprise as the dogs were able to enjoy evenings on the deck with us without tie outs! The fenced yard was much appreciated as well and the cute dog sculpture is a welcome sight for dog lovers :). A short walk to the lake AND trails will make this a repeat stay for sure. Thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely home for a much needed vacation!

The house has an open living/dining area with skylights so it feels spacious, yet there is privacy for the bedrooms at opposite ends of the house. The kitchen and the rest of the house are well stocked with everything you would need. The management company, Best of Canaan, keeps the property very well maintained and their staff is friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful area if you like hiking and the outdoors, also close to Dolly Sods and state parks.
