Very helpful and friendly staff. We left our cases while we hiked. Central location.

So convenient to train station and Main Street. Had a good top floor room with a shared balcony and great view. Nice cold breakfast spread was included in tariff. Ask for rooms 406 or 407 for best view of the Matterhorn.

There are about four steps up between the front door and reception and the lift. Had to carry our heavy bags up them.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily come back again. Before arriving, I asked if it would be possible to get a room with a view of the Matterhorn. They couldn’t guarantee it at the time, but they kindly said they would do their best—and when we arrived, they had managed to give us a room with the view we had hoped for. That thoughtful effort really made our trip special. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean every day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was large and modern, with toiletries provided. There was also plenty of storage space for clothes and luggage, which made it easy to settle in. Breakfast was simple but very good, with a nice cold buffet selection, and we especially appreciated that it started early at 7:00 AM—perfect for getting an early start on hikes and mountain excursions. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and both check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The location is excellent—right in the center of Zermatt and within easy walking distance of the main train station, the Gornergrat railway station, cable car stations, restaurants, and shops. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations thanks to the outstanding service, comfortable rooms, and unbeatable location. Highly recommended!

The only downside is that, because the hotel is located in the center, there can be quite a bit of street noise, especially during the day and evening. Closing the windows blocks most of the noise, but since there is no air conditioning, you lose the fresh cool mountain air that would be nice to have during warm summer nights
