La ubicación

Reserve una habitación con balcón y vista al rio… NUNCA me dieron ese tipo de habitación… muy por el contrario al reclamar me trataron muy mal y no me quisieron cambiar de habitación y tampoco el descuento por usar una habitación q la vista era a los techos del área de servicio del hotel!!! Envio fotos de la vista desde la habitación q me asignaron… NADA Q VER CON LO CONTRATADO CONMAS DE 3 MESES DE ANTICIPACIÓN!!! Muy mala experiencia con el hotel… PARA NADA RECOMENDABLE .

Nice swimming pool with a view on the river.

The elephants in the river are not wild animals. They are from the elephant orphanage close to the hotel. Twice a day the elephant go to the river for bathing. We saw a lot of elephants that weren’t treated well, handler shouting to them, poking with a sharp stick, riding them and some were chained while in the river and could not stand well. Also the handlers are very rude/bold. They offer to take a picture for you and then ask for a tip. If you give a tip they will say is not enough and ask for more. Some of them are in the hotel/restaurant and you don’t know if it’s hotel staff or handlers. If you want to see elephants up close, go visit the ELEPHANT FREEDOM PROJECT. This is a place where elephants are treated humane. The hotel staff is also pushing to take “free trips” or book a taxi through them. Every day I got multiple WhatsApp messages from the manager asking our day plans were.

Unbeatable experience viewing the elephants both during the bathing and as they marched in to town. Elephants are not my "thing" and it still knocked me off my feet. Staff were really nice and took special effort to make it a good experience.

This doesn't have much to do with the hotel but the shops and riff raff nearby that try to profiteer from the elephants being around were pretty aggressive with their selling/scamming. It was exceptionally intense and very unpleasant. It was probably the only place in Sri Lanka where I didn't want to leave the hotel. I hope the community does something about it because its next level.

No driver accommodation. Paid for an additional room for our driver. Meal was extremely expensive in relation to quality when comparing to other hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka

Staff were really good kind and helpful while foods are delicious.we had really happy time with my family.Place is nice and cozy.we would highly recommend this place ❤️❤️
