Hotel Malcom and Barret

Excellent value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely give the hotel 10/10. We requested a room on a high floor and the hotel kindly accommodated our request. The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern, clean and had a very good water pressure. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The 24/7 reception was especially convenient as we arrived on a late flight. The breakfast was tasty and had a good selection of everything needed for a good start to the day. The hotel also has a gym. It is quite basic, with a few machines and treadmills, but sufficient for a basic workout. The location is a little outside the city centre, but getting there is easy. It is around 45 minutes on foot or about 10 minutes by taxi, and taxis in Valencia are quite affordable.

The gym could have more equipment, but this was not a major issue for us. The hotel is also not within walking distance of the city centre for everyone, although the short and affordable taxi ride makes this easy to manage.

Friendly staff, comfortable and large beds, price for food and drinks are as in any other restaurant (they are not trying to overprice things)

Sound isolation is not reall good between rooms. Location is not central. Still you have busses nearby

Clean , nice place , no place to park, but buses are cheap and reliable. The receptionist, Mrs.Lucica was an excellent, reliable person and explained us everything what we needed to know. The breakfast manager Mrs Gabriela, this is her name, was to eager to help us in the last day. We had to pick up the rental car, at 0800 we ask her if we can drink our coffee inside the breakfast area, couldn’t have time to eat. We had breakfast included. She had a big smile ironically said that we have to pay for the coffee. Well thank you madam. We came from States to be treated this way by a person who doesn’t know how to treat tourists, Is better if she would work in the kitchen. Where are no tourists.

Wifi didn’t work in rooms and we are in 2026. Year. Wifi in lobby was mid. Not good for remote workers until they do something regarding the internet. We are in 2026, and great internet exists in hotels a lot of years back, there is no reason to have awful wifi.
