Very comfortable and friendly, small, warm and cozy, but top notch quality. Nice rustic flair and personable staff. So helpful, despite me messing up my decent-time check-in. I can't wait to come back!

Lovely clean property close to Munich, Starnberg and the Ammersee. Very helpful and friendly staff. They ran out of whole wheat rolls at breakfast and she baked us another one. Wonderful breakfast options.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, egg cooked fresh, buffet regularly re filled. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable.
The windows do not have full curtains and no shutters available so it is very light in the morning.

Overall a good looking venue. Owners and staff very friendly.
My room was exactly 2.83 x 2.45 meter which is around 7 sqm!! The smallest I have ever stayed in my life. Oh yes, the bathroom was another close to 2 sqm!!

We only booked H.Alpenhof the night before we arrived.
It's situated in a quiet part of the small town of Gauting, which has excellent SBahn 6 links with Munich and the surrounding area.
Everything was perfect - clean room, good shower,ample breakfast, cheerful and helpful staff,who conversed in English if required.
There was nothing to not like.
Although only breakfast is available in Alpenhof,the Hotel Bären is only two minutes walk away and has super food,so this is really not a negative about Alpenhof
