Check-in was planned for 15:00 but the flat was not ready till 20:00!! No car park!!! We had to pay for private car park nearby which made our stay very difficult. We were travelling with a 3 month old so if we did know that there is no car park we would not have booked it. Three construction sites opposite the property!! One of them is actually a new development of Baltica apartments so they are fully aware of the issues their clients have to deal with. My husband found a Stanley knife blade on the patio, probably coming from their site. Builders worked 7am till 5pm, dust, offensive language, noise from the diggers outside - awful... I actually made a video of all that as well... again: traveling with a 3 month old baby we wanted to eat in and as the flat was not liveable between the site working hours we had to eat out all the time which accrued unexpected cost on top of over 850 pounds we paid for 10 nights just for self catering. Host did not provide a rubbish bin keys therefore we had to chance they will be open, this attracted security guard attention and my husband had to explain himself to him etc. Unfortunately security guards there do not speak English so it was quite awkward. When those issues were reported to the host - Ms Joanna from Baltica Apartments - was told she would try to sort out then stopped answering my calls. When we called her from a different number we were told to contact Booking.com to complain. Also the amount of rent on the agreement Baltica, who act as a rental property management company, wanted us to sign was lower than what we paid. They initially did not put the 30% deposit on the agreement. Their rep only add it onto our written agreement after we pointed that out, he did not include that note on his copy which makes me wonder if they actually declare it to the property owners and the taxman as well. Also we did not have hot water for a whole day 26th July, which the reps did not tell us about.
