The hotel stands on a rock over the see. Every room has a view and nr 13 is the best. The interior is comfortably minimalistic, the location is a dream. No noise, no smell. Staff is friendly and efficient. And steps fown to the sea for an early dip

Nothing negative to report

Thankfully slightly off the tourist track, down towards the port. Hotel Palinuro seemed to be the only hotel build onto the cliff with balconies overhanging the crystal water. On arrival you have an understated stairway covered in bougainvillea that sweeps down into what feels like the cliff. It's hardly anything from the road, and then opens into a clean, bright and friendly entrance with lounge and breakfast space with bistro tables and uninterrupted views over the beaches and ocean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and luckily were generally well versed in English. They offered us a choice of room and we were stunned with ours. Far exceeding what we had hoped for. Large room, comfortable bed, large shower room with view matching our balcony. Colours were very nice, furniture clean and simple - not fussy. Everything you would need from hairdryer, ample mirrors, refrigerator, aircon and fan and a mosquito blind on the door and window - ideal. The balcony view was incredible - left side of the hotel, we were lucky enough to have a large private balcony facing the port with a sweeping uninterrupted ocean view and incredible sunsets. The breakfast was ideal- lovely pastries and fresh cake, tomatoes and fruits, offering of cooked eggs and toasted sandwiches and a good coffee. Around the bay you can see the masse of tourist large hotels overlooking the water with their packed deckchair beaches with umbrellas. Here there is a stairway that follows all the way down to a platform and then a rocky area, which with enough towels, is a joy to spend the day on and a heavenly spot for snorkelling. It's quiet and if you have the energy/waterbag you can swim around between the other beaches. Everything felt safe and clean considering the current climate - we felt very safe.

Staff were happy to help, location is perfect...... 2 mins to town and 5mins to one of the nicest secluded beaches I’ve ever been to. View from the balcony and at breakfast was incredible.
