"Sapodilly" (unité 1A du complexe hôtelier Buttonwood Reserve Oceanfront Condominium Resort) est une unité de niveau inférieur offrant une vue panoramique sur deux océans, orientée à l'ouest sur les Caraïbes pour le coucher du soleil et à l'est de l'Atlantique pour le lever du soleil. Admirez la vue imprenable sur l'océan depuis chaque pièce à l'aide de glissières en verre et de baies vitrées de 6 pieds Les vastes ponts privés offrent également une vue spectaculaire sur la mer dans toutes les directions. Les enfants doivent être âgés de 10 ans ou plus pour rester dans ce condominium.
Buttonwood Reserve a accès à deux plages. Du côté de l’Atlantique, se trouve une plage de sable rose de calibre mondial, longue de 4 km, vierge de toute première maison. On y accède par notre allée privée réservée aux voiturettes de golf. Le condominium est livré avec une voiturette de golf. Du côté des Caraïbes de notre propriété, presque dans votre cour, se trouve une deuxième plage. Cette plage est petite et plutôt rocheuse, donc pas tellement esthétique, mais l’eau est aussi calme que le lac et cette rive est parfaite pour la plongée en apnée, le kayak, le paddle-board et la pêche.
La partie caribéenne propose également notre nouveau quai pour bateaux de 70 pieds, idéal pour la plongée, la pêche ou, bien sûr, l'amarrage d'un petit bateau.
Notre piscine de style complexe est à quelques pas de votre condominium. Cette belle piscine paysagère est chauffée pour une baignade confortable toute l'année.
L'intérieur décoré par des professionnels de cette location de vacances est élégamment meublé, moderne, chaleureux et confortable. L’extrémité est de la grande salle comprend une cuisine moderne, ouverte et luxueuse, dotée d’acier inoxydable et de granit noir. La cuisine, la salle à manger et le salon offrent une vue magnifique sur l'océan dans toutes les directions, avec une eau scintillante à perte de vue.

The home was in a perfect location, and had all the amenities needed. We learned years ago that seating was important, and the couches proved to be comfortable and ample for the 4 of us. The beds were very comfortable, and the use of the coolers, and golf cart were a great plus. Bright and Airy would be the best way to describe the views, both inside and out.

Having access to both coasts from one spot, without getting into the car for a drive, was great. Want an easy soak in the ocean? Walk to the Caribbean. Want to play in the waves? Grab a golf cart and head for the Atlantic.

I must admit am a bit reluctant to write a review for fear that everyone will learn about the hidden gem that is Buttonwood. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and, after 8 nights, did not want it to end. Everyone has their own preferences, but in our view Buttonwood was the perfect blend of lux comfort, adventure, privacy, and price. We spent mornings on the Atlantic side, in complete privacy for miles to see, shuttling over in the courtesy golf cart that belongs to each condo. We would walk to LeoRose for lunch, which is right on the water on the Caribbean side. Some snorkeling or paddle boarding in the afternoon, 30 yards away, would typically round out our day. The locals are friendly, chatty, and eager to please their island guests. Island visitors should know that Eleuthera is not a well developed island. Electricity outages are not uncommon. Things break down from time to time as a result of sea salt. But after a few days you won't care if you settle into the chill island vibe.

Yes, yes yes. The condo is everything one would want, size, comfort, cleanliness, amenities. You can't go wrong. Let me share why we would stay again. My husband and I like to rent beachfront houses. Nice ones are expensive so that is typically done with friends. This visit to Eleuthera was just to two of us so we needed something else. Buttonwood Reserve was the perfect fit. In addition to the lovely interior and grounds, what sold us was the golf carts which provided the beach access we desired and bikes which let us ride to the nearby eatery options (all within walking distance really - a mile). At any rate the worst day there consisted of us packing the golf cart for a beach day on the Atlantic side on a beautifully warm, sunny, breezy day. After arriving and setting up chairs and umbrella we realized it was much more than breezy, it was downright windy. After toughing it out for ten minutes getting sandblasted, we packed up, returning to our condo and setting up shop on the beautiful deck overlooking the Caribbean Sea. There it was warm and sunny with a slight breeze. We laid on the lounge chairs enjoying the sounds of the Caribbean Sea (because it's that close) while sipping cocktails one enjoys during holiday while the sound of the waves and the soft music we played intermingled creating a uniquely perfect symphony. This was followed yet another epic sunset and an evening of star gazing. The rest of the days were perfect and spent at the beach. So yeah. One can have a lovely place to stay but if the experience isn't there it's just "nice." This was a complete package.Notes: I believe Buttonwood was almost full but it was super quiet and we rarely passed anyone.As with everywhere in the Bahamas, the noseeums are fierce so if sensitive like me, bring the repellent and expect to use it often and liberally.Brett was fast with communication and Smitty checked on us and brought us an item we requested. 5 star from

we have literally been to 50 countries around the world. Eleuthera is a unique island , not your typically all inclusive, easy to get around type of location.if you plan to drive , please, please make sure you understand the insurance situation of you , your car and your passengers.i would not recommend you riding bikes on the main road and definitely no walking or running bike after dark.you need a bit more research than going to a big, more traffic island of the Bahamas

There were plenty of quality bath towels, but only one kitchen towel, so you may want to bring another with you. The washer and dryer worked well, as did the dishwasher and community grill. The management did provide some dishwasher and clothes washer tablets. The pool is lovely. The porch could use a portable stand fan to help drive way the flying bigs when needed. We went to the Atlantic side beach once by golf cart ( too rough to snorkel that day), and the Caribbean side once to try to snorkel for lobster, but no luck. We went to other beaches the other days. The closest restaurant, Leo Rose is a great casual beach dining spot, but be aware they only take cash (the policy for many places).We love Eleuthera! There is a phrase- “Eleuthera-it’s not for everyone”. You need to be the kind of traveler that can “go with the flow” with things like water and power outages, older model but functional rental cars, and hordes of noseeums on occasion. You will be rewarded with beautiful water, deserted beaches, and friendly people!

The condo was very clean and located centrally on the island. It is not close to anything, so be prepared to drive for groceries to get anything semi-decent. There is East and Final Grocery and a liquor store close by, but the best grocery store closest is Burrows, in Gov. Harbor, which is 15 minutes away at least. The beach shown in the picture is rocky and you have to cross a highway to access it. We chose to visit other beaches that were less rocky and easier to access: Ten Bay Beach, Cape Eleuthera, and various pull-offs along the way. Gas stations are few and far between, so make sure when you see one, fill up! Brett was terrific and is on property most all of the time and will answer questions and fix things as needed. The condo is well decorated and comfortable. The furniture in the picture on the deck is no longer there, unfortunately, as we were on a working vacation. Instead, there are now white Adirondack chairs, which makes it hard to work from your laptop. There are floaties and some lounge chairs for general use. We did not go to the pool and only used the golf cart once, as we are not Atlantic Ocean kind of folks. Lovely stay.

Make sure to rent a car at the airport it’s almost an hour away from the rental. Your best bet is requesting four-wheel-drive jeep. Amazing adventure, amazing location
We couldn't be happier with the property and location. We had a view of the Caribbean and the Atlantic was a short golf cart ride away. The unit came with an umbrella (which you didn't need at the resort because they had permanent shelters there), chairs and even a cooler!! Be sure to rent a car because the island has much to see. Read the guest book in the unit for recommendations of where to go and where to eat.

Our family of 15 had Building 1 to ourselves. It was perfect as we had evening meals together but also had some private time with their own family. We thank all the Buttonwood staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We absolutely loved both the oceans. They offered a different experience. The experience of having an entire beach to ourselves was amazing. Even the beaches we visited outside of Buttonwood we had to ourselves. We scheduled a tour of our making and the grandchildren were thrilled with the wild pigs, feeding the turtles and seeing starfish up close. We feel very lucky to have such wonderful family memories.

Good place to stay because your in the middle of the island to visit the north the south and middle.
And if you want to take a lazy day you can stay at the pool.

We pass a week in family, everything was perfect. What you see on the picture is really what you get.
Good place to stay because your in the middle of the island to visit the north the south and middle.
And if you want to take a lazy day you can stay at the pool.

We enjoyed our stay at Buttonwood Reserve during Christmas. The cottage was lovely with great amenities from the outdoor deck overlooking the ocean, to the pool, landscaped grounds, and private beach with its own shipwreck.

I have never written a bad review but need to share my nightmare. This was our first visit to Eluethera and the last. Our family has traveled throughout the Caribbean; USVI, BVI, Culebra, Vieques, St. Lucia and Martinique. We stayed at Buttonwood Reserve from April 11, to April 25th 2018. Buttonwood has beautiful breezes and lovely views. The people of Eluethera are friendly, kind, and the island feels safe. The unit was fairly clean and the beds are very comfortable. Leo Rose Beachside restaurant is very close (less than a mile) with good local food,Rainbow Inn is fabulous. My daughter and her boyfriend swam at Buttonwood Beach and snorkeled on the Caribbean side. The shore is not protected and was quite rough on most days. She made the mistake of not using bug spray on Buttonwood Beach at noon. Her legs are still infected with sand flea bites. We were unable to sit on either deck without pesky wasps and bees. There were ongoing problems related to structural flaws in the building, neglected maintenance, holes in screens, bugs in condo, broken running toilet in guest bath, hornets nests under the stairs of 1A and between 1C and 1D outside the building. Our attempts to cook resulted in hundreds of flies both outside on grill (holes in screen) as well as inside with all doors and windows closed. My husband called to report and was told to drive to James Cistern and buy spray. The new maintenance man met with my husband (initially dismissed flies on the island "common”) but did note the drain holes in the glass sliding door as an entry and plugged. Matt offered to move us however it was very close to our departure and we did not have the energy. I slipped on crushed limestone in G. Harbor resulting in stiches and infection.

The best vacation we've ever had!!!!
The property is beautiful. It overlooks the Caribbean and its stunning water. Your own private pool awaits each evening. A golf cart to take you to the private beach. Tia and Liam are there at a phone call away if anything goes wrong, but you're in paradise, who care. We loved Buttonwood 1A and can't wait to return. Thank you to everyone

My group rented the entire complex and everyone absolutely loved it. All of the units are virtually the same and the pictures are very accurate. Some units are better decorated than others. I probably would choose 1B next time as the view was similar but it was decorated better.

Beautiful Buttonwood
Let me start by thanking Matt and Tara for making the booking process so easy, Tia for seeing to a few minor hiccups and Patrick for showing me where the aloe grows and how to extract the soothing gel.
Next I will tell you to get ready for no-see-ums before arriving on Eleuthera. DO NOT sit on the beach at sunset on your first night, unprotected! Bad idea.
We stayed in unit 1A and loved it. Great decor, spectacular sunsets, great breezes but it is a good idea to close up after dark and use the AC. No-see-ums.
The Atlantic side of Eleuthera has the best beaches. In fact it seems to be one unending beach. We found the best snorkelling on the Atlantic side near Sky Beach. It gets bigger with each telling but we saw 5 parrot fish approximately the size of SUVs. Just before Sky Beach there is a turn off to a little restaurant all alone on a beach so beautiful you think you've died and gone to beach heaven. The reef there is healthy and close to shore.
We don't like driving on holidays but Eleuthera makes it worth while. There are so many incredible places to visit.
DO take the golf cart to Buttonwood Reserve's Atlantic side at least one night to star gaze and hear the surf crashing on the beach.
James Cistern is a 10 minute walk. We liked East and Final for groceries, especially tasty little tomatoes they grow themselves. The attached liquor store is handy and is a bit of a social hub.
Fishermen bring catch of the day to the dock there around 2 PM (island time ... it was 6 PM one day) We were fortunate to get some lobster tails that made the aforementioned parrot fish seem diminutive. I'll try to attach a picture.
The Sunset Bar and Grill is a short walk away and you can arrange a fishing/snorkelling cruise there.
We felt safe always, except for driving at night. A lot of the road is unlit, fairly narrow and you have to drive on the left in American cars meant for driving on the right.
We loved Eleuthera and Buttonwood.

Return to Buttonwood
Visited in 2014 and had a fantastic stay at Buttonwood. So could it live up to our memories of that stay? I can honestly say this was better again. Matt, Tara and the team are a pleasure to deal with and Marsha was the perfect housekeeper. The accommodation was excellent and amenities on site really good. We spent 10 nights at Buttonwood and simply did not want to leave at the end. A beautiful island and this is a fantastic base to switch off and relax; hardest decision is which beach to choose (the Atlantic side is our favourite, such good fun in the waves).

Heaven on Earth
My wife and I stayed at the Buttonwood Reserve for our honeymoon. The property was immaculate. We used the golf cart to see the private beach on the Atlantic side. We were the only two on the beach every time. The greatest feature of Eleuthra is the solitude. It's nice to wake up and go outside and hear Nothing! Be sure and rent a four wheel drive jeep and explore all the beaches. These are the prettiest beaches in the world.

Paradise found
We had the most amazing stay at Buttonwood. We came down to ELeuthra a group of ladies celebrating our 40th birthdays. We stayed in Sapodilly and Kool Jumbey. Both condos were beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. The decor was beautiful and tastefully picked out.The views were exquisite and therapeutic. We loved the entire property. The use of golf carts, kayaks, and beach equipment took the experience over the top. We made use of the Atlantic beach, the pool and loved kayaking down to Leo's on the Caribbean side. We bone fished with guide Paul Petty , boogy boarded on the Atlantic visited with the warm locals at the town Fish Fry and made many excursions to visit beaches and towns. We lived our day trip to Harbour Town and the pink sand beaches.The convenience of location was perfect to jump around. Fresh conch was prepared at the docks in James Cistern. And we loved going to the coffee shop Da Perk. Couldn't be more impressed with the hospitality we received from your staff Tia and Patrick were so very accommodating and locals on the island were cheerful and welcoming. We did have a power outage, and some inclement weather and our entire party got a virus we generously passed on to one another. But that did not stop us from having a trip of a lifetime. Thank you to you and the staff for making a most memorable vacation for all of us. Cannot wait to come back! We loved visiting beaches Cocoadimana and Gaulding Cay. We tried to cliff jump but the Carribean was rough. Loved the Glass Window Bridge and Govenors Habour was charming. Everything we need was provided for. Sunshine, surf, fresh air And seafood. It was a perfect trip!

Pure Paradise!
Our first time here in Eleuthera, and we will definitely be coming back!!! Buttonwood Reserve was everything we hoped for and more! We felt right at home! The condo has everything you need (from beach towels, cooking pans, to a golf cart) and it was super clean- made us feel like we were the first ones to ever use it! Matt and Tara helped us rent a jeep- top down, of course! That was a great rental-- highly recommend getting a jeep… a lot of rugged, sandy roads! The beaches were beyond beautiful… water is crystal clear like you're in a giant pool! We enjoyed Cocodimama beach which is about a 10 minute drive south- you must go! We ate breakfast at the condo every morning, but ate lunch and dinner out every day (that got really expensive- we will be eating in more next time)… Get ice and the 5 gallon water from the grocery store that's a 3 minute drive north- there is a cooler at the condo. There is little to NO SIGNAGE anywhere! There's only one road- Queen's Highway- so no worries! Be adventurous and take the rugged sandy roads, you will find the most magical beaches!! There is literally NO ONE at the beach! It was perfect and so romantic! We rented our snorkeling gear from Patrick, the caretaker at Buttonwood. We snorkeled and collected seashells, sand dollars, and star fish. Our absolute favorite restaurant was Tippy's- coconut shrimp- best in the world!! Buttonwood Reserve was the perfect location.. we couldn't have imagined anything more perfect. Thank you!!!!!
