Great location right near the walkway/cycleway on the edge of the lake, with a lovely cafe across the road. The apartment was spacious, warm, sunny and comfortable. It had everything our family of 5 adults needed for a weekend stay, which included cooking a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. The pool and sauna were lovely.

The spa was cold and despite a request to have it turned on this did not happen. There was no second set of keys in the apartment as stated, which meant a bit of juggling with people coming and going. Three water glasses broke in the dishwasher so you might need to improve the quality of these!

The spa on day 1 and 2 was so hot, like boiling, we were unable to even go in it, but it cooled down with the rain luckily.

the apartment was so well stocked with everything our family needed for our stay, beautiful bedrooms, super comfortable beds, really warm, great kitchen with all the amenities, a washer and dryer that turned out to be really handy, excellent shower/bath and ensuite that were really clean and awesome water pressure. LOVED the heated pool and the ease of access to the lake which was right on our doorstep. communication with the owners was really easy when we had questions and they were accommodating, understanding and super helpful, excellent hosts that made our stay even more comfortable.

The location was beautiful, right beside the lakefront walkway. The pool was heated nicely for a swim mid winter. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable.

The parking space was a bit tight when it was very busy, however there was another carpark outside the building available. It was good being able to park right outside the apartment being on the ground level.

Location was great, short drive into town but we liked being directly on the lake. The kids loved the heated swimming pool! The apartment itself was very big and comfortable, had everything we needed.

A big thing is privacy - the apartment NEEDS appropriate window coverings on all windows. In the lounge room and main bedroom the blinds offer no privacy at night, when the lights are on. Please get the blockout curtains you have on some windows, for all windows. There were lots of instructions to follow for collecting keys, unlocking and locking the apartment. And then too much detail sent on text message, so difficult to scroll through and find the important info. Just seemed a bit more complicated than it normally is to check into the apartment. The details could be simplified and provided separately to ‘what to do in Taupo’. There were also a lot of strict rules with the apartment which were fine for us (we’re a fairly quiet family and weren’t there a lot anyway), but it made the experience less relaxing than a normal vacation e.g. getting the whole family to take shoes off inside (not our normal practice). The floor covering should be suitable for holiday letting where people can wear their shoes inside if they wish. Also would have appreciated more shower gel in the bathrooms, rather than a single use sachet and the en-suite shower needs a good clean - tiles are mouldy.
