We had a relaxing family vacation! The house is large and views are amazing! We kayaked, canoed and fished every day. The children swam and enjoyed s'mores in the fire pit at night. The flowers around the property are beautiful and the house had everything we could need. We had a wonderful stay.

This property was beautiful. The view of the lake is breathtaking. The owner, Donna was great and very easily available to answer questions. We absolutely would stay here again . My family and our dog felt relaxed and right at home.

I would highly recommend this property. It is actually nicer than the pics. The downstairs living areas are clean, bright, and airy. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The master bedroom has a beautiful picture window overlooking the lake. The other two bedrooms are cozy and inviting, and stocked with games. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of linen and paper products. The location is very private. The deck has plenty of furniture and a small gas grill. The backyard is grassy and not steep, with pretty flower gardens. The dock allows for boat access. You can walk into the water from the area before the dock. Donna was thoughtful and attentive...even leaving welcome treats! It was a great week and if you stay here you won’t be disappointed.

Just home after two weeks on Rangeley Lake at Donna Brown's fabulous lakeside house. The place was as advertised - clean, well appointed, comfortable and cozy. The lot was ideal with its sloping lawn to a litttle beach and dock with a place for our rented boat. The master bedroom, with its large picture window, allowed you to wake up to a spectacular view of the water, grateful for another day in Rangeley. Donna was the perfect host and always available to answer questions and help out. The town of Rangeley is nearby (by boat or car) and picturesque, as is the smaller hamlet of Oquossoc. The whole Blue Mountain region of Western Maine is beyond spectacular and well worth an extended stay! We loved our vacation and being in Donna's beautiful home! Thank you Donna! 5 stars!

Renting this house was a real mixed experience. Let me say that the Rangeley area is a great town/lake to visit in the summer. If you are looking for a quiet, outdoor oriented, small friendly town, Rangeley fits the bill! It would be difficult to spend time in Rangeley and not have fun - we certainly did! About the house in particular, the entry onto or into Rangeley Lake was great. We rented kayaks, and kayaked most every day with easy in/out access to the lake. The kayaks at the house were anciently old and difficult to control in the water, not to mention bug infested. The roadway into the house was a bit dauntingly steep, but as we have a four drive SUV we made in and out fine, but beware. The interior of the house was not what we expected. No handrails on two sets of stairs, the house was not clean, and prior to using dishes/glasses, we needed to use the dishwasher. If you are allergic to cats, beware, the house is quite loaded with cat fur remains. Another thing to be aware of, no window treatments on most windows, including the master bedroom. One of the bedroom windows faces directly east, so early to bed, early to rise is good advice. One other thing worth mentioning, the hot water smells a bit weird, but on the positive side, there is plenty of hot water for showers. The house is located on a very nice site on the South shore of Rangeley Lake, a great yard for enjoying the lake, lawn activities and nice outdoor furniture. The gas grill is adequate for small gatherings and the deck/table are wonderful. The house was acceptable to us for a three week stay, but if your standards are high, just a note of caution.

Great sloping front lawn where we played corn hole and had a campfire to toast marshmallows. The Stars were incredible ! 2 young kids with us loved the little beach. My husband and I were able to do morning runs on the south shore road. Several local hikes good for both adults and kids. The water is crystal clear tho fishing was pretty slow in August when the water had warmed some. We all said we would love to go back here again next year!

This home is a perfect location for a fun relaxing family vacation..Perfect for swimming,kayaking,canoeing We would highly recommend the property.
