Very good, lots of choice

The lighting was poor in the room, lots of lamp light but no full light, the room was very cold when we first arrived, had to play around with the thermostat before getting any heat, took a while.

we checked in at 12am! staff were lovely very friendly considering how late it was made us feel very welcome

comfortable large room spotlessly clean good value breakfast hotel has more of a 'vibe' than most Holiday Inns in the chain complimentary parking

there is a sign in the room that offers extra toiletries if required such as hair conditioner etc, I asked for this at reception but the receptionist did not come back to me with an answer Wake up call requested on check in sheet - no wake up call provided Self service bar aspect whilst you are eating your dinner is not ideal as bar can get quite busy newspapers offered on check in form but not available throughout the hotel

they dont have lifts in the hotel and it has lot of stairs but staff was very helpful in bringing the breakfast in bed. They also provided us with fans. Late checkout and they have two car parks.

I have an autistic daughter and some of the guests were looking down at her when she was having a moment.

the staff were so good and helpful

cashless hotel. i like to pay for my drinks/meals in cash as can then keep a watch on my spend

Nice spacious and clean

Very small bathroom. Booked a large bed due to my husband’s hip discomfort but was given a small double. This was rectified upon request (I had to show my booking was for a larger bed) but got the feeling (by the supervisor who helped the receptionist with the request) that I was being difficult. Perhaps the receptionist made a mistake and she was unhappy with her but it felt a bit uncomfortable.

Helpful receptionist on lateish checkin (10pm)

Car parking very limited on Sat evening. Was in a 'quieter' room on 1st floor. I'm sure it was quieter compared to some, but the traffic noise was very noticeable. It's a problem of the precise location I guess. Nevertheless, I was happier with an opening window. Couldn't see any veggie/meat alternative options for breakfast (although what was there was OK for an egg eater like me). Both coffee machines stopped working at the same time I noticed.

Good choice of food on breakfast buffet, and good quality food.

Air conditioning did not work in the room. Rather stuffy because of this.
