Rodney was a great host, very accommodating and polite. The breakfast was lovely and the room was comfortable.

Loo rolls and shower gel could be replenished more regularly. However, Rodney was very attentive and was able to provide additional loo rolls etc.

The property is in a great location, within walking distance to the town, beaches and coastal path. The room was clean and comfy, with everything you needed. The host was friendly and he even went out of his way to serve up a breakfast appropriate for our dietary requirements. On-site parking was a bonus.

Hist was extremely friendly and very good about times for breakfast.

The room was clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. I’m fussy about a comfy bed and was not disappointed, I slept very well. We were very well looked after, breakfast was very nice and quite frankly staff couldn’t do enough to cater for any preference. Off road parking is by way of a small private court yard at the rear of the premises giving security for those things that you need to leave in or on the car, surf boards, wetsuits, beach equipment and waterproofs for example

Rodney(owner) was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Rooms comfy and equipped with everything that’s needed for an enjoyable stay.

If there was a small negative the en-suites could be slightly bigger( but this wasn’t an issue for us)

It was a great location

Location - 10 minutes walk down to the centre of st Ives. Great location, as we could access all the beaches and the harbour and the centre easily, without the need of a car. Shop - there is a co-op opposite and is very handy. Parking - can leave the car without concern. Host - Rod was friendly, welcoming and informative. He was more than willing to offer advice and was open to provide extras on breakfast! Room - clean and everything you’d need from a b&b. Bathroom - shower had great pressure and was modern and clean. Bed - comfy and we had a great sleep.

Difficult to find a negative as we had a lovely stay in a lovely area of the world; close to st Ives and to travel if wanted.

Everything met our needs, lovely room and en-suite all clean and tidy. Cooked breakfast provided by the owner which set us up perfectly for exploring St Ives and the far end of Cornwall, Car parking was a bonus which was very useful.

Well appointed, clean and comfortable room. Rodders was an excellent host, very friendly and always at hand for any help needed (he cooks a mean full English too). The property is in an excellent location only 10 minutes from st ives centre and as such it is nice and quiet. Would highly recommend.

The room was very spacious for a group of 4 ladies. We had a mini fridge which was a bonus. Rodney was brilliant and very accommodating with our requests. Breakfast was excellent with loads to choose from, just let him know what you like. Overall, fantastic service 👏 thanks rodney!

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Easy access to the town centre. Co-op very close for shopping. Free parking at the property was a bonus. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits supplied in the room.

Where do I start ? When we arrived at Uplands at approximately 3.30pm in the afternoon, Rod appeared to be drunk, but quite amicable, and showed us to our room. We settled in and decided to go out at approximately 4.30 and had to pass Rods bedroom on the way out, where he was laying like a starfish, fast asleep and snoring like a bull. On our return that night, Rod was back with us and asked what time we would like breakfast, we said, 9 am would be fine and we went up to our room. Turning on the tv, only one channel was available as the rest were just pixelating until the screen went blank, eventually, the one and only channel pixelated to a blank screen, so we gave up. We went down to breakfast at ten to nine on day two and ordered two full english brakfasts. Rod said, help yourself to coffee and toast while he prepared the breakfasts. We emptied a full pot of coffee and ate two rounds of toast while waiting fourty five minutes for the breakfast to arrive. The breakfast was nice, long awaited, but nice. We went up to get changed to go out, not worth putting the tv on, still pixelated channels, but then the music started. It was very loud, loud enough to make the floor vibrate, but as we were going out, we thought no more about it and set off for the day. We arrived back around tea time to settle down for the rest of the day. This was when the music really started banging out, accompanied by Rod, playing his guitar and singing at the top of his voice for hours. During this time, Between songs, Rod was in conversation with what sounded like the lady that prepares the rooms, this would have been around 7.30 at night and at one point my wife saw a set of fingers disappear under the door just before the door handle was tried from the other side, we didnt open the door as we were a bit concerned who was actually on the other side. Around the same time, we had a phone call from a family member who asked if they were in our room as it was that loud.

Really great stay - Rodney was a fab host and was very generous with his time. We particularly enjoyed trying different chillis with omelette for breakfast and a jam on the guitars before heading out one morning! Was also very grateful for the use of the drying machine for clothes that got soaked when we went to an show at the minnac theatre.

Room was spotlessly clean, breakfast was of high quality and expertly cooked by Rod, the host who ensured we were very well looked after at all times.

Location was a little way out, a 10 to 15 minute walk down to the harbour, and a little longer back up the quite steep hill - buses are available or you can drive down and park nearer the centre.

The host, Rod, is lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The room was tidy and had everything you would expect. The bed wasn’t the comfiest, but it was ok for a few nights. Free parking for one car per room. I would highly recommend this property and would stay again.

The hill to the property, but there is a bus service and if you had any questions or problems, Rod would be happy to help.

Everything was perfect, room and bathroom very clean and Rodney,the host was very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for him.My 6 years old daughter loved his cooked breakfast and she said he made lovely cup of tea.No trouble with the parking space as there was enough space to park my car in the back of property.If I would go there again surely would choose the same place to stay

Good location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and beaches. The room was very clean. We had delicious fresh eggs cooked for us every day at breakfast and the staff was always kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
