Very close to the beach, but almost no privacy.

There was no electricity for my entire stay. I couldn't even check in until after 6pm

The location.

No wifi. No hot water. It wasn't clean.

We had a good stay in Ebony&Ivory. The host Bobby was super helpful and easy to contact. The front view of the beach right at the exit of the apartment is the cherry on top.

The temperature of the shower was difficult to place (too hot) and water pressure was not that great.

Ebony and Ivory is where the action is in Nungwi. Guests get to use the facilities of the Blue Sea restaurant including their beach chairs and sun umbrellas. Blue Sea also serves the breakfast for the hotel guests. Babi, our host, took good care of us. The rooms all have 2 beds of queen size or larger. You may and up in the rooms of Union beach. That is a small step up from the rooms of ebony & ivory. By international standards I would rate this accommodation as "basic". But really, for a wonderful time on the beach it is all you need. Sleep, change clothes and take a shower. The rest of the time is spent on the beach right in front of the hotel.

Ebony & ivory does not accept credit cards. Bring cash. Dollar or Euro is accepted. There is one ATM machine in Nungwi. Best you get cash when you arrive at the airport.

We loved the location of this place. According to our budget it fitted our requirement.

If the owner would've provided basic toiletries i would have given him 10 in the rating.

Only good think is the location is great. On the beach and close to facilities and restaurants and bars. They fixed our water problem which was good too. Id rather support Union Beach Bungalows as their staff actually attended too us and tried helping us. Unlike this place who have no staff and just threatens you.

There is no staff to begin with. They add charges on your booking. No where does it say you must pay cash on arrival. Then you don't have cash. Then you get harrased from beginning to end by the owner on Whatsapp who is not around. You try and have lunch at a restaurant of property then they keep on sending people to you and push a phone in your hand with this guy threatening you to take your passport because you haven't gone to the atm yet. The nearest atm is 2kms away.. he doesn't stop. You then pay thinking he will leave you alone. You have breakfast at the restaurant next door when you want to pay they say no, they dont want to take your money because they say its included in your stay. Then the guy starts harrasing you again to pay the breakfast. He doesn't leave you alone. And completely take away from the experience of what your holiday is supposed to be. The shower wasn't great. And we only had burning hot water what they eventually fixed. Beds are average. Wifi wasn't stable. Theres a kettle but no cups, coffee etc. There's 2 double beds but only 1 glass.. so basically you pay for a sleeping place and location.
