O pequeno almoço foi excelente com tudo o essencial e de boa qualidade. Adorámos! O quarto tem imenso primor na escolha de todos os materiais e detalhes acolhedores, quer na decoração quer na escolha desde os talheres de cozinha aos candeeiros, e todas os objectos de necessidade primária para resposta a uma curta estadia. Conforto total! A limpeza um primor, e a simpatia das funcionárias revelam o cuidado e atenção!
Dos vizinhos do quarto do lado, um pouco barulhentos. Mas isso não será culpa do anfitrião certamente e sim do modo de estar.

The property was very spacious. The staff were lovely - everybody was extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. My daughter really liked playing with the cats! The espresso machine in the entrance/reception was great.

Great place! We stayed in the brand new deluxe suite with two bedrooms, looking out on the patio with pool, lounge area etc. Very stylish design. We have slept great, thanks to the very good beds and no traffic noise from the street. We really loved the basket with a delicious breakfast every morning!
Just one small thing. We booked a suite with a dishwasher, but there was none in ours. The friendly staff solved this, by doing the dishes during the daily servicing. Great solution!

Great location. Very quiet but an easy walk to the centre. Beautiful gardens and lovely clean pool. Delightful breakfast basket delivered daily before 8am. Well provided kitchenette
I'm not really a cat person, so I didn't enjoy the several cats which roam through the gardens.

The staff were lovely. The location is very good, easy walk downhill to the city center. The room was enormous, comfortable bed. Some lovely cats on the property, if that's your thing.
Parking on street is free, but it can be a pain getting a space on the street nearby.

It is an old school building so it is very easy to hear the neighbors in rooms above you talking and moving early mornings and late at night.

The noise from the street - we had two rooms facing the street. There is a lot of traffic, and there is a bakery on the other side of the street - early morning they distribute bread from there.
The noise from the other rooms - it is and old and charming building with wooden floors, and you can hear everything.

The hotel offers new clean modern rooms in great locality close to city centre and all facilities with walking distance. In the morning we get cute breakfast to the bed in a picnic bin. Every-day room cleaning, nice helpful people working on reception, 24/7 automatic coffee machine and cool terrace with a pool benefit the accomodation. We highly recommend!

Lovely property in the perfect location. Not too far out but nice and quiet. All the staff were incredibly helpful and helped us to organise several trips and we arranged a breakfast delivery for our early departure time.

Nice pool, good breakfast and spacious rooms.
The room is very humid so the pillow sheets smelled a bit bad. There was no balcony even though it was advertised as a room with balcony. The street is very loud and busy at night because there is a bakery that opens all night and many people going out will get a snack there.

We liked the fresh, clean look of the room and kitchen and bath facilities. We were impressed with how well-accessorized the kitchen was. Absolutely loved the breakfast basket and the generous and varied food offerings. Also, the garden and dipping pool area was very attractive looking and inviting.
One thing that was a challenge for us was the stairs we had to climb to get to our room. We weren't expecting that. We're both seniors, and one of us has some difficulty with the legs. We needed assistance from staff to help with our luggage, but they were cheerfully accommodating.

Even though it was right in the centre of town it was very peaceful. Modern and clean rooms. And off course, the swimming pool in a nice garden. Good firm matrasses and nice shower. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. No noise from outside.
Transfer from the airport was a bit messy because they mixed up the dates, but the staff did their utmost best to make it right. Maybe an extra confirmation the day before could be helpful here.

Nice breakfast, beautiful space and outdoor area.
The bed was not the most comfortable, would have liked some more cozy bedding. The experience seemed to be “contactless” with the staff, which was convenient but just seemed to lack a personal touch. No reserved parking.

Absolutely amazing stay - the staff were fantastic they helped so much. Thank you Margarida and Hugo, you made our trip special. The breakfast was so much fun left at the door in the morning in a beautiful basket. The room was perfect. Great location close to all restaurants. I can't wait to return, I would return to Sao Miguel just to stay at Casa do Contador
