Raven's home was beautiful, great location to downtown, easy to get around. My kids loved the space. The view was beautiful, we walked the beach, etc. Raven respinded quickly to any needs or questions. She actually had her cabinets stocked with supplies which made it easy and very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again

Lovely spacious property with fantastic views. The house was well equipped with everything you would need for a stay. The house was in a great location and the area around the property was quiet and safe with a selection of shops and supermarkets within walking distance. We really enjoyed walking across to the island, Reykjavic was also a short drive away. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to return.

I stayed in this home with my wife and three children (13, 13, 16). We strongly recommend this home to anyone who is visiting Reykjavík.
This property had three attributes that I look for in a great VRBO: the property itself was warm, open, clean, and matched its description and pictures perfectly. If anything, the hosts have made the home even better than its images suggest (for example, where there is only a single chair in the living room according to the image, there is now a love-seat). Second, the area around the home is stunning and the location is very convenient to stores (including two grocery stores and few eat-in/take-out restaurants) and to major roadways that take you where you want to go. In our case, we went both into the city of Reykjavík as well as to some national parks in the opposite direction. Finally, the hosts were very helpful and responsive. We visited Iceland shortly after a major volcanic eruption and some of the attractions we wanted to see were closed. The hosts helped us find some other options and assured us that their home was unaffected (they were right).
You will not go wrong with this home. We only wish we had more time in it!

This property did not disappoint! It is absolutely gorgeous, the views are absolutely breathtaking, the house is very well, equipped, extremely clean, and the owner answered me each and every time I reached out. I highly recommend this property!

Really enjoyed staying here. The view is fantastic - even saw the northern lights one evening. Location is close to all amenities (fuel, groceries, restaurants, etc.). House was very clean and well appointed.

Hrafns house was situated in a perfect location for us. Not in the middle of Reykjavik but near enough for a short drive into town. We hired a car from Keflavik, not sure about bus routes but we saw quite a few buses around the area. House is amazing with stunning views (the photos can’t do it justice). We found it great for family of 4 (2 adults, 15 yr old and 11 yr old boys) , plenty of room, and upside down layout worked fine as it maximises the light and amazing views. Hrafn was a great host, with timely communication and tips, even though he was away in Spain himself! The house had everything we needed, and neighbourhood is lovely and quiet. Good shops and petrol station nearby, and a decent swimming pool. would definitely recommend and hope to come back and stay in Summer time. Thanks Hrafn for a great stay!

We are a family of 5 traveling with a 21 yo son, 20 yo son and 16 yo daughter. We absolutely loved our stay and the house it could not have been any more convenient! It is a stones throw away from a Subway, Domino’s pizza and two grocery stores. Everything you need (pots, pans, plates, bowls, etc.) to cook a good meal after a day of exploration is stocked in the kitchen. The neighborhood is a quiet family oriented area and we felt very safe. I would highly recommend this house! Oh..... and if you happen to stay on New Years Eve you will experience an incredible fireworks show! This neighborhood goes ALL OUT!

Words cannot express how lovely this home really is! From the minute you arrive, Raven is there to explain everything, such a gracious man! The views from every room are amazing... mountains, water and sunsets! The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals. The bedrooms are so comfortable, cozy, and have room darkening shades for the Iceland summers. The bathroom has 2 large sinks, nice shower, and a huge soaker tub. Towels are provided. Such a bonus to have a washer/dryer unit, soap provided, so you don't have to travel home with wet clothes. The patio is so awesome, great place see the amazing views! So excited that Raven will soon have a Hottub on that patio! This home exceeded all our expectations and would love to return. Thank you, Raven and family for everything!!

The kitchen/living room area are lofty and open with high ceilings. Lots of space to relax in and windows to open for a nice breeze. Plenty of dishes and cooking items (pots, pans, spices, etc. in kitchen). All bedrooms and one bathroom are downstairs. The pictures of furniture and décor on VRBO website were somewhat different from what we found on arrival. Towels needed to be replaced and some furniture items could use some updating. Other than that it was great. Owner was easy to work with and friendly.

We had a lovely visit and the suburban house was perfect for our needs with two kiddos. You just can’t beat the mountain views from the picture windows upstairs as well as the convenient location to the city as well as trips to the countryside. We did have a car so I can’t comment on the bus, but the stop did appear to be close and you could walk to the grocery if necessary. Recommended.

We stayed at Grafarvogur last week from March 31st - April 5th 2019 with our 2 teenage daughters. All we can say is WOW! The accommodations exceeded our expectations. Clean, spacious, iconic views and proximity to everything! We had an early arrival and Raven was at the house to greet us. He provided us with a quick tutorial on everything in the house and provided local maps and insights on the immediate area. The house is located at the end of a cul de sac(so no through traffic) in a quiet residential area of North Reykjavik. The location is wonderful, walking distance to a shopping center with a wonderful coffee shop, 2 grocery stores, a Dominos and a few other shops. Literally down the hill and across the street are miles of connected running / walking paths, a beach to explore and a sculpture garden along the path. Take the time to walk down and explore the beach, the views are incredible and the black sand beach is beautiful. From the house to DT Reykjavik is about 15-20 minutes if you have a car or there is a bus stop at the end of the street. The house was very comfortable with three bedrooms downstairs, the Wi FI worked great (no complaints from the girls at all about connectivity) and the views are truly amazing. There is a washer and dryer with soap, the kitchen is fully appointed and stocked with all necessary cooking utensils. The bathroom downstairs has a separate tub and shower and dual sinks which was very handy. We were all over the country having visited Hofsos, Akureyri, Lake Myvatn and the Glacier Lagoon to the south and we were always happy to come "home" to the comfort of Raven's home after our excursions.
If you have children there are nice decorations and artifacts in the house (heads up if you have toddlers) our teenage daughters loved the house and the vibe it provided. One fun touch is the wonderful artwork and paintings on display throughout the house in almost every room.
The house is a wonderfully comfortable place to stay for a family or a group of friends as you explore Iceland. We will definitely visit Iceland again and we hope to have the opportunity stay at Raven's house when we return. :)

The house is lovely, with a superb kitchen and a beautiful lounge. We had a wonderful stay.. it was great to return each evening to a warm, cozy house. The views from upstairs are lovely and the location is great. It took us 15 minutes to drive to the bus station for all the tours of the island. There is only one bathroom though, so if there are six in your group, you may find that difficult.
Raven was a great host, meeting us at the house when we arrived and explaining everything. Really can't find fault with anything.

Very well furnished and generously supplied with all necessary utensils, towels etc.

House is very comfortable with all the amenities with a great upper floor that allows you to relax after exploring for the day. The views from the upper floor allow you to see the snow capped mountains and the water. Located in a very quiet neighborhood.
The only thing that needs to be improved is the lock to the front door. It sticks and can be a challenge to open. You can't have anything in your hands when opening the door since you need to lean into it and press hard to get the key to work.
We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.
