We returned home today after spending several relaxing days at this lovely cottage. The water views from the camp are beautiful, and because it is at the end of the road it felt very private. The cottage had everything you could want for cooking and games, the wifi was excellent, and the canoe was easy to take in and out. I would highly recommend it for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

It rained a couple of days and was chilly in the morning. No worries. The little gas stove in the front room worked well to chase it away. For me, it was just right. I returned home relaxed and ready to begin again.

Nice to be at the end of the dirt road, as you really had privacy. We saw loons, otters, and we must have great fishing off the dock (although didnt try our luck), because several small boats trolled nearby and one guy caught a good sized fish!! Nice breeze off the water and nice neighbor. Would recommend staying here.

Every aspect of our stay at this cottage was wonderful. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for a weeks stay. It was very clean and comfortable. There was a beautiful view of the pond from inside the cottage and all around the deck. Lots of wildlife, beautiful sunsets, very peaceful and serene. We explored many nature trails and historical sights in the surrounding towns and cities. We would definitely book another vacation at this lovely cottage.

It has been wonderful! The way the property sits you get the sunrise and sunset; which I enjoyed everyday. This has been the first week of the season so there was no swimming. But, I came for the R&R which I got more than enough. I can’t wait to come back!

My wife and i stayed here for a week. The cottage was very comfy. We were about 30 feet from the water. The cottage was ideally located for travel to Portland and Augusta and places near and on the ocean. Tom , the owner, was very informative and easy to get in contact with. We look forward to a return trip in the future.

Muskrats, Loons, and Eagles are just of few of the sights right in the front yard. The canoe was great for exploring. A very comfortable cottage with a beautiful view. This is defiantly on our "let's do this again" list!

I can't express enough how wonderful this location is!! I have family in the area and have been coming to Maine for about 20 years. Most cabins are pretty rustic, but this one is not!!! It has all of the comforts of a home!! The entire place was clean, the kitchen was fully stocked with all necessities, the beds were plush and very well decorated. The location is close to my favorite places to eat in Gardiner and Hallowell. All the charm of a Maine getaway!!! Even has a propane fireplace and fans in every room, perfectly useful for any type of Maine weather!! We used the paddleboat to mosey around and the canoe to fish...and what a great spot for hours of fishing!!! The wildlife kept us entertained as we sat watching the water. Tom and his daughter were very helpful and wonderful to deal with. I strongly recommend this cabin on Pleasant Pond because it is a no brainer choice for me again and again !!!

My family stayed here the last week in August. The cottage was very clean and extremely well-stocked. Being the last cottage on the road, it was nicely secluded and the views of the lake were outstanding. Our two-year old absolutely loved going out on the paddle boat. The owners were extremely responsive and gave us great suggestions for a few outings and restaurants nearby. Our only complaint is that we didn't have more vacation time to enjoy this great place. I could not recommend this property more!

This is our second year at the cottage. It is clean and the view is unbeatable! We stayed for a month and enjoyed sunsets, kayaking, fishing, and swimming. It is not ideal for swimming because of some of the plants in the water, but it is not difficult to use the paddle boats to go to nearby Peacock Beach and swim in some clearer water. Tom and Judy are very hospitable and make sure we always have plenty of clean towels and sheets. There is a fabulous Veggie shack just a mile down the road with delicious tomatoes, corn, lettuce and eggs. Gardiner is just 10 minutes away and Brunswick is only 25 minutes. It is a great location and the view, the view the view!!

I rented this cottage, on my own, for two weeks in May-June, and intend to return with my partner for 4 weeks this coming October. For me, the place is all about the dramatic views. Comfortable furnishings: it's a camp, with a camp feeling, meaning a mishmash, but fun and very spacious. Great bed. I found the firmness ideal. Perfect wi-fi. Good hot water and water pressure. Very very well-equipped kitchen. Since it's the last cottage on the camp access road, there is never a sound of vehicles passing. The only sounds are of folks enjoying themselves in a couple of nearby cottages. In addition to the deck, there's also extensive lawn area with good outdoor furniture. The owners present the house beautifully. I grew up in Gardiner, and so my attention was focused in that direction. The new Gardiner Food Coop is great, as is the A-1 Diner, Emery's Meats, and Hannaford's, not to mention the Kennebec Rail Trail. Another huge plus at this cottage is the proximity to both interstates, to Lewiston and to Brunswick. You're also less than an hour from several Maine coastal peninsulas and beaches: Popham, Reid, Five Islands, Boothbay. The entire experience is ideal, and the responsiveness of the owners is perfect.

The cottage was clean and simple just what I was looking for as a get away from the city. Close enough to Portland, Augusta, and Bar Harbor without the congestion of traffic or noise of crowds. The loons on the lake were beautiful to listen to in the evenings. Access to the water was very easy, even took out the paddle boat to tour the lake. The only one issue is that the beds were too firm, but adding a sleeping bag or two will make it more comfortable. The closest grocery store is the Hannafords in Topsham. Stay at this out of the way cottage and rest without losing touch with the real world, they offer wi-fi access. If I had more vacation time available I'd book another week at this lovely lakeside cottage.

It was very clean and was truly and home away from home. Owners were very nice and responsive. Amazing water views. Loved all the windows in the living area. It rained most of the time we were there, but the dock and yard area looked really relaxing and fun. You will love it here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Pleasant Pond. The cottage was very well kept and the view is breathtaking. It is such a panorama of the lake. We could enjoy sitting inside or outside and taking in the view of sunsets and the lovely lake. The water was warm. We had kayaks with us and it was easy to get them in and out of the water. The only drawback was the vegetation in the lake that made it necessary to go out a ways into the lake to avoid the weeds in order to swim. There are some very nice paddle boats available that provide family fun. The house was well equipped and they even provided linens and towels and washed them every week. We had a three week stay and leaving was difficult! We recommend it heartily.

My family has spent summers at Pleasant Pond for 4 generations, spanning nearly eighty years. We have rented several cottages through the years for extended family and friends, and this one is the best. Myself, my wife, and two children rented it this past August and were so pleased. Clean, cozy, and cute. The kids slept upstairs in the loft area, my daughter on the bed, and my son on the pullout sofa. They loved having their own space. The bedroom on the main level was very comfortable for us adults. Full kitchen amenities, plus the gas grill outside, which was fully loaded and clean, allowed for a nice cookout and home cooked meals. The view is awesome and the water is terrific. The proprietors were also very nice (they responded immediately to requests and questions), and the price was very reasonable. You may find a cheaper rental on the lake, but you won't find a nicer one. Perfect for couples and small families.

This cottage was an excellent choice for our family group. Family brought over their Kayaks and we were happy to paddle our days away. The sleeping and kitchen amenities were awesome. The property provided us privacy for family visits, but allowed us a space to to read and relax. It cabin rental is close to Augusta as well as Freeport is within an hours drive. We were able to spend a day in Portland and pick up visitors from the PWM and still have time to get home and have a nice talk... New TV provided with dvd gave my son a hook up for his XBOX and he was able to enjoy his Xbox live connection with the wireless internet connection. My husband and I were able to access the internet and search for used bookstores in Gardiner, Augusta, Portland and Lewiston-Auburn. GREAT central location for visiting Reed State Park as well as Mt. Battie in Camden. We highly recommend this rental for families who like to just curl up with a good book after searching used bookstores in the area.

This is a very well-equipped and spacious cottage on a beautiful lake. The lake is perfect for fishing and boating; swimming, not so much. The cottage is roomy and easily accommodates four people. There is a loft bedroom as well as another bedroom with a door. The owners are very nice people who responded right away when the DVD player needed replacing. Visit Gardiner and Hallowell while you are there...two of my favorite towns on the planet!
