The hotel is kind of old
Booked a teppanyaki dinner. But no idea why the teppanyaki course menu is different from others. During the booking I was only asked to choose teppanyaki or kaiseki dinner. When dinner is served, our menu is different from others without abalone.

Overall a pleasant experience for us as first timer staying in a ryokan.
Friendly staff everywhere. Free Yukata rental and plenty of options, including sizes for kids. Nice and quiet onsen. Classy building overall.
We had Kaga cuisine option (I think it is Kaiseki). It wasn’t bad, but we definitely expected more from a ryokan at this rate. The walk to Main Street is a bit fair compared to a few other hotels.

Japanese hospitality at its best
absolutely excellent. All staff were very helpful. Serene Japanese experience. Superb dining experience for every meal.
