I love Ramat Rachel - a bit of an oasis in a hot, urban city in the summer. Generous meals, lovely rooms, welcoming staff.
Pool area not clean enough - grass dirty - and pool itself very very crowded (I guess to be expected, but would have helped if it was cleaner).

Lovely area with archeological ruins to explore and an amazing viewpoint area overlooking the city, many signs teaching about the area's history; friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast with many choices; many buses to city center. And great pool complex, of course.

The sports facilities and the pools are very good, especially for teens. The breakfast was fine, Nice view from our windows. Convenient transportation into the city so you can leave your car parked at the hotel - no parking hassles. Most of the staff members were very nice.
The buffet dinner was quite disappointing in quality and variety and very expensive for what we ate... and the main reason why we weren't thrilled with our stay. (My fault for not asking the price when we walked in, but not something I would normally do as I would trust such a family hotel to have reasonable prices for children).
The large floor tiles in our rooms didn't look clean, perhaps they are stains that can't be removed.

location
they gave us a separate beds for just married couple
and they gave us an old room, knowing that we asked for a best room for a groom and bride just married
and there is new rooms they could have arranged.

The kids pool is awesome. Basically that was the only good thing in this hotel.
The room wasn't very big. In the morning we've found ants in the room. They ate all our food. Disgusting.
The kids club is a joke.
There was always a long line at the reception.
No reasonable coffee at breakfast. Really poor.
Overall the hotel is extremely overpriced. Really low value for money.

Wonderful pool and garden. Good places to stroll. Excellent Buffet at meals.
We were situated in a room that allowed us to sleep only one out of two nights.
Unfortunately a large very loud youth group prevented us from getting any rest the second night.
Would have been perfect if not for that. Next time, I would hope the hotel would be honest about situating us in a room with the potential for great disturbance or compensate us in some way after what happened.

Ramat Rachel was the best of 3 hotels I stayed at in Israel. I visited from America on a group trip that wasn’t well organized but everything provided by the hotel from food to comfort of the rooms was excellent. Would absolutely stay again.

Positives: - Quite good food served from the hotel restaurant, but unfortunately providing only nice food is just not good enough, see the list of negatives below Negatives: - Some staff can be nice and helpful at times, but others are totally hopeless and generally speaking, client satisfaction is definitely not a priority for this hotel. - After one of the rooms got flooded (because the toilets of another room located in the same corridor was apparently blocked), hotel staff failed at first to provide another room easily accessible to disabled people (i.e. wheelchair accessible) even though one person couldn’t get around without a wheelchair and/or a walker.

Everything. From check-in to check out, we had a GREAT stay.
The water pressure in the bath tub was really low, so it took a long time for the bath tub to fill up with water.
Also, the door out of the pool area into the hotel was locked before 16:30 so we had to walk around the whole area to get back into the hotel which was a bit inconvenient.
