Nothing
I didn't stay there cause they never opened me the door or pick up the phone. I stayed 30 minutes in the street where I didn't feel safe at all and 1h30 extra with the neighbors trying to call. I had to book another place and the next day when I asked for the cancellation of the fees she just said she had not heard the phone (at arrived at the exact time agreed).

Brenda and Derick were great hosts friendly, helpful, made the best breakfast, comfy beds and the whole guest house was clean and neat. Garden was very well kept, and pool was beautiful. We will definitely book with them again when we visit JHB.

The hosts were so accomodating and nice! When I needed to get dinner, Brenda kindly drove me to a shopping area to get some food. The room was nice, very spacious and clean. The breakfast was yummy and Brenda kindly got up early to make it for me since I had an early flight to catch.
The location isn’t the best if you’re looking to get out and explore, but it’s very convenient to the airport

NO DSTV in our bedroom, we couldn't receive SABC, TV Remote MISSING or even Manually
Our room was not serviced.
Limited toiletries in the bathroom.
Shabby shelf and wires for TV SUPPORT ELECTRONICS.

I didn't like the false advertising that i experienced...the room was nothing like the one i had reserved, facilities that were listed on booking.com were not there,not even one. Being told about the check out time at the last minute and being charged extra. False advertising, false advertising and false advertising

What an excellent host and hostess! When paying, my credit card was rejected. No problem at all to the host and hostess, they took me (no charge) to a local shopping centre where I could safely draw cash. Nothing was too much for them to make my stay pleasurable

It was close to where we needed to be
The communication was really bad. We were not asked or informed about breakfast options. We had no fresh water in the mini fridge. There was no warm water to shower on our second night or second morning. We were 3 in the room and only had 2 cups & 2 glasses. The room facility clearly indicated a TV and Hairdryer in the room but it was absent.

Was great for us that we could check-in late and that is was short drive from the airport. Close to the high so we were quickly on the road the next day.
During our stay the pool was under construction. We did not need it due to the bad weather but if you want to, make sure to check it before hand.

Sonyador Guesthouse is a complete gem. Brenda, the host, is so kind and she and her family go out of their way to help. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Great bathroom, too! Nothing like a nice shower after travelling. Breakfast is cooked for you and is generous and varied. The guesthouse is about 10 minutes from the airport, so it's easy to make connections, but it feels like a different world, with the lovely garden and peaceful neighbourhood. Highly, highly recommended.
