The location is great and it is a great value for money. They have a great common area. They serve good breakfast with fresh fruits. You can easily meet new people. It is overall a good place to stay.

There were ants in the bathroom the second day but this seems to be a very common thing. The owner wasn't surprised and cleaned/ spray it right away. We didn't have any after that. Just be ready for insects in Costa Rica, it is part of the adventure :)

the staff was really kind, gave a lot of advices about activities and transportation. The breakfast was really good. The dorm had 4 beds, which is not too big and good to meet people. I would definitely recommend it.

I loved this hostel, one of the best I've ever stayed in. Super cozy and comfortable yet very clean. The common lounge area was nice. Breakfast wonderful, staff wonderful very helpful and friendly. The who building it's just a nice warm wood and the beds are large and comfy. Didn't feel like a hostel. Thanks!

The staff are friendly and very helpful for recommending tourist activities and calling local companies to make reservations and arrange transportation for guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and all of the other guests were friendly so it was a pleasant stay even when the hostel was fairly full. The included breakfast was also surprisingly good! Great value - I would highly recommend for a short stay in Monteverde.

There is only one bathroom and a separate shower room on the second floor. The other guests were considerate about not taking too long in either, but those who really don't like sharing bathrooms may not enjoy this aspect.

The staff were beyond incredible they are friendly and helpful for arranging travel. The breakfast each morning was perfection. We felt welcomed and the location was excellent. Thank you.

Good location between the bus station and Santa Elena. The breakfast and the ladies that cook it they was so nice to us. The kitchen was well equipped and big fridge.

Above and beyond, the most comfortable and best value stay I’ve ever had at any hostel anywhere. A beautiful quaint family-run guesthouse in the heart of Santa Elena. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable with high quality warm blankets and pillows provided. Delicious fruit and breakfast and coffee in the morning. Exceptionally kind and helpful staff, lots of information about tours and the surrounding area. Close to supermarkets and central Santa Elena. Hot water in the showers, clean bathrooms. Only a modest number of guests stay here, and everyone was so friendly and respectful. You can’t find a better stay for your money than you will find here. 17 stars out of 10.

The hostel feels really like a home and has a really cozy atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and ready to help with your request. I twisted my ankle a few days before arriving and the staff lended me some crutches and helped me plan some activities without pressuring my ankle.

Great location close to the centre and the bus stop. Place was very clean and cosy with beautiful artwork and pot plants all around. There's with a fully equipped and functional kitchen plus yummy breakfast served every morning. The family who run the place are very nice and happy to help with anything you might need including advice for transport and tours. There's only two bathrooms but that never proved to be an issue. Would definitely stay here again :)

The family that runs the hostel is amazing - extremely helpful and caring. The beds are big and comfy - so are the rooms. We had a door to the balcony, so we could air out the room or leave things outside to dry. The breakfast is so good. Don’t think you will find a hostel where you get more for your money.
