A stunning small hotel in a great location with beautiful views. The owner and his staff were so kind and helpful, we were made to feel very much at home. A very special place. Grazie mille Alessandro and Mauro!

The air conditioner wasn’t very powerful but this is a minor criticism

Excellent location in Castella where able bodied guests can walk to most of the landmarks of Castella, Stampace, Villanova, including the Bastions, the Cathedral, Roman amphitheater, and botanical gardens. The “Pani e Casu” restaurant directly below is wonderful. Highly recommended.

READ THIS SECTION: This section is to help you be prepared for this specific property. I would encourage any able bodied tourist to stay here BUT be forewarned it does not have easy access. I think that the manager tried to prevent our type of problem by sending messages to WhatsApp which we do not have. 1). Do not use your nav system to go to the property address. It is not reasonably accessed by car. Instead navigate to the Santa Croce church almost next door. on Via Santa Croce. Stop at the white steps to unload luggage. 2). The Relais is not noticeably marked. At the top of the white steps you turn right ~10 meters and a door bell button unlocks the door. 3). Parking can be an incredible problem. There are about six spaces across from the white steps. You’d need incredible luck to get one of those. Free parking in spaces outlined in white are very rare but best. After unloading luggage you can drive a hundred meters or so, then go right through the arch and another immediate right on Camino Nuovo ( do not go straight on the Via Universita or you will have a gruesome time renavigating back around). On Camino Nuovo there are first “resident only” spaces. Further on there are blue marked mandatory pay spaces. 4) Other than the maid for the room, this is a self service facility. You will yourself in using a code. There is coffee. tea, and water but no breakfast. Breakfast can be had at Libarium on Via Santa Croce or a two minute walk up hill in Piazza one level down from the cathedral piazza. I hope this helps. Knowing what I know now, I would still stay here again.

The main room was nice but no other travellers were there to meet. I thought breakfast was included but it wasn’t.

the location was difficult to access with it being at the top of a steep hill and stairs. a bit of a walk to the main restaurants and shopping area.

Lovely room, great location. Air conditioning was downstairs so it was quite warm upstairs at first, I would recommend turning the ac on well before going to sleep if you want to sleep in a cool temperature. Other than that everything was perfect. Beautiful view from the common living room

The room with additional sleeping loft was huge and absolutely beautiful; the view was incredible.

The air conditioning could have been cooler but with the window open it was comfortable.

Great character and spacious rooms in old town Cagliari

Great location: right on top of a hill with amazing views, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The house is so beautiful with amazing high ceilings. there was AC in the room I regretted no having stayed longer.

The noise from the restaurant below until midnight. You have to climb a lot to reach this property, better to take a taxi if you have big luggage.

We loved the view. The room looks classic and nice. Dining room was cozy and filled with activities on the shelf to do outside. Check-in was nice and easy. The owner is always ready to help. Super nice guy. Cold water was always available.

We would've liked a second bathroom. 4 girls sharing one bathroom took us so long to get ready. The beds weren't comfortable, backaches every morning. You have to take steps, like a lot of steps to get there. Would've been nice if the staff told us about the elevator. We noticed 2 days after. They only have 1 steamer for the whole place, so you have to ask for it if you need it..

Location very good in old town. Wonderful view hotel full of character. Excellent communication and responses to queries. First rate manager - delightful, friendly, informative and responsive

The location was amazing. Located at the top of the hill the view was incredible and it was away from the party in town. In additions, the restaurants just in front of the apartment were excellent (don't forget to reserve, as they are usually packed). The common room is very cosy and a great place to meet other guests and get tips about places to go and beaches to visit. The host (Mauro) made sure that everything was in order and helped whenever required.

With staying on top of the hill, the walk to and from downtown was a little longer and exhausting in the heat and the kids weren't too excited about it. Otherwise, I can't say anything negative about the stay... it was an excellent vacation with a great place to stay.
