Very cramped, old, not very clean or well equipped, uncomfortable bed

The host was ok, but there was a problem with the price of accommodation for 2 nights. six hours before arrival, he sent us a notification on booking informing us that the price had increased to 110 euros from the 70 euros we had reserved on booking. Please solve such cases because it is not right for this to happen. Attached is the receipt for 110 euros paid. We cannot, on the last hundred meters, be notified like this 6 hours before and look for another accommodation, especially since we arrived at a late hour and we are tired

no breakfast was included .. the bathroom and shower was very tiny and small and you have to sit down in order to take a shower!! terribly dirty.

Location

We did not get the room we booked. The room we got was not properly cleaned. The host had several excuses why the room we booked was not arranged for us and put us in an inadequate room. Absolutely inappropriate behaviour to guests.

The air-conditioning worked well, and the location is okay if you want to be near the beach.

The apartment wasn't clean at all (there were cobwebs and hair behind the toilet, bugs in the shower, dust everywhere, the kitchen surfaces were sticky from previous stays). The place smelled like something had rotten and wasn't thrown out, and the smell didn't leave the entire time we were there. My friend and I couldn't sleep due to the smell, and feeling so uncomfortable about the cleanliness of the place. All of the applicances are really outdated. The owner does not speak English at all - only Croatian, German and Italian. She would not speak to us in any language other than German, so we tried to speak to her in Dutch but it didn't work, so we tried broken Italian... but after many failed attempts we ended up using Google translate. We had to hike up 3 flights of stairs outside to our apartment, in the heat, with our luggage. The one staircase is made of metal and sounds like it is going to crash underneath you. The wifi did not work from our room at all (turns out we were too far from the main source), and when we went to the common space downstairs, the wifi was completely crap (really slow and hardly functional - which is really frustrating when you are looking for a new place to stay because you are so disappointed in this one!). We paid 65 euros for 1 night which is outrageous considering what you can find on Airbnb for that price. We had no choice but to stay here due to our 21hrs flight being cancelled at no warning and nothing else being available, but I would never, ever stay here again.
