Great spot, a beautiful building.
This place needs an update. The facility is very worn. The restaurants are overpriced too.

Old dame. But that is the problem. Everything felt too old and dusty. Needs some modern upgrades
The gardens and the pool were beautiful.
The staff were wonderful.Location was great.
Too old! Yes it is important to keep the tradition but some parts of it needs upgrading like fabric and upholstery.

We loved the breakfast. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and nothing was too much bother.
We normally paid in cash for our meals and drinks but on a few occasions we charged it to the room. A bit shocked to see that the taxes and service charges were added on to this when we settled our bill.

Amei a história do hotel, fiquei a conhecer sobre as pessoas ilustres que passaram por lá, a decoração, senti como se estivesse nos tempos áureos das descobertas de tesouros antigos
Gostei de tudo!

Amazing property
Breakfast choice and presentation should be improved to the standards of Cairo Sofitel

We booked a room with view of the Nile and it was worth it! The most incredible feeling to sit on the balcony at sunset or sunrise and watch the boats and feluccas and the West Bank ... timeless and stunning.
The breakfast room was so elegant, it made us feel like Royalty and the spread was sophisticated.
Swimming pool area is amazing - the gardens around are exceptionally beautiful.
Staff were fantastic - we were allowed to stay for late check out and use the pool until 6pm because we had a train to Cairo that night at 8:30pm. Mohamed Anwar from reception and Esraa from guest relations went out of their way to arrange all and help us book the train tickets. Thank you both!

We were very excited to stay at the hotel given its impressive history. We were blown away by how beautiful it is. You feel like you have stepped back into the Victorian-era with the archaeologists who had stayed at the hotel. Our room (which we very luckily got upgraded to for free) was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished with antique furniture. The room was cleaned daily and the staff always ensured we had plenty of water. We enjoyed two delicious dinners at the stunning 1886 restaurant. Breakfast was great - diverse and plentiful. They can also make you lunch boxes to take away with you on your daily adventures. We toasted our days exploring Luxor at the gorgeous bar. The service from each staff member we encountered was outstanding - everyone was warm, friendly, attentive, helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Though we did not have time to use it, there was a large pool on site. We highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return!
N/A - it was perfect!

Our welcome and stay at Winter palace was magical. We cannot thank the manager and staff enough for everything they did to make our 30th wedding anniversary so special. We were overwhelmed by the surprise and kindness of upgrading our room to the Opera Suite. This was an absolute dream come true. To stay in the Winter Palace in any room was going to be wonderful, but this... absolutely speechless. We then went to dinner in the 1886 restaurant which was excellent, the service and food was just exceptional. We were again overwhelmed by thought and kindness as a Happy Anniversary banner and Cake with a candle was brought to us at our table. we have never been so spoilt and made to feel so special.
The pool and gardens are tranquil and the history feels alive. The hotel is a short walk to Luxor temple and to all the Nile Cruise boats. We had only one night at the Winter Palace, we so wish we could have stayed longer. THANK YOU to management and everyone at the Winter Palace who went out of their way to make our stay so incredibly special.

The place itself is an oasis. Amazing architecture, history, gardens, pool, great that so many objects were kept rather than substituted for new trying to pretend is old or luxurious.
i don t like the pressure everyone puts on us to comment the quality of the places.
while checking out they gave me the paper and didn t give me the invoice. i already sent an email saying that I need the invoice and they simply didn t care. All the reviews they care about is while you re there. then no response at all.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Winter Palace Hotel in Luxor, Egypt, and I must say that it was a good experience. The hotel is steeped in history and offers an elegant ambiance that transports you back in time. The staff were overall friendly and attentive, and the service was exceptional. However the signs of a faded jewel are visible everywhere as the place is not recently renovated. The doors were old the carpets faded and was giving the impression of a former glory.
One of the standout features of the hotel is the superb garden. The lush greenery, beautiful flowers, and the serene atmosphere create an idyllic setting for relaxation and enjoyment. We spent a lot of time in the garden, walking around the exotic spieces , and just soaking in the beautiful surroundings. It was truly a highlight of our stay at the Winter Palace Hotel.
The pool, however, was average in comparison and bit dirty. While it was well-maintained, it did not have the same grandeur as the garden. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the pool, and the staff were always available to bring us towels and refreshments.
The rooms at the Winter Palace Hotel were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Our room had a balcony with views of the garden, which was a lovely touch. The bathroom was clean and modern, and the amenities were of high quality.
The dining options at the hotel were good (Corniche restaurant) and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The service was top-notch, and the staff were attentive and friendly.
Overall, the Winter Palace Hotel in Luxor, Egypt, is a fantastic hotel that offers an unforgettable experience. While the pool may be average in comparison to the superb garden, the hotel's history, elegance, and service more than make up for it. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Luxor.
The place is a bit of faded jewel lacking of recent renovation. The room doors the corridor and dining room carpets were very old. The pool could be better maintained a more clean. Additionally the set up of the eguptian restaurant with the huge round curtains as deco outside do not find the the ambience of the excellent garden
