However we arranged and paid hotel 2 months in advance, we have been informed that our hotel has been changed to another one.

The room was large and comfortable.

Lack of reception and lobby and there was no refrigirator in the room.

At the last minute, as we were flying to Munich, Hotel Mons advised we were canceled due to construction. They diverted us to another hotel.

This was the Hotel's description on booking.com: “Renovated in 2022, this small design hotel in Munich is just a 15-minute walk from the city centre, main railway station, and Oktoberfest site. … Boasting an individual, minimalist design, the Hotel Mons am Goetheplatz offers comfortable rooms with en-suite facilities and free wireless internet access.” This description is not accurate. The hotel is located in an apartment building, the hotel premises are located on different floors. During my stay from 10.9. – 13.09.2022, some parts of the hotel were still under construction/renovation. There was no reception. Although I informed the reception twice (24.8.2022 and 9.9.2022) in response to their e-mails sent via booking.com that I would check-in on 10.9.2022 at approximately 2:30 p.m., no one was there to meet me. At the entrance, it was written that the reception is on 3rd floor, and next to the elevator, that it is on the 4th floor. There was no one on both floors, but construction work could be heard and seen from behind the door on the 3rd floor. After about 20 min. waiting, 2 workers came out. I talked to one of them. He then called somebody on the phone, and then went down to get my room key from somewhere. This took an additional 20 minutes. On Monday morning, I met a gentleman in front of the "reception" (also in work) on 4th floor and asked him if that was the reception. He harshly replied "Ja, was wollen sie?" I was shocked. I asked him about room service – the room was not cleaned on Sunday, which was annoying since the bathroom floor was all wet due to the open shower. In an equally harsh manner, he said that the room would be done on that day. The statement in the hotel description that it was renovated in 2022 is not correct; the hotel was being renovated at least during my stay.

The information recived was very accurate, and a great location.

On the day of our arrival we had to wait for over two hours to get our room keys because the keys were not in the provided key safe. Also the reception was always empty which means we had no-one to ask anything and no-one answered our calls.
