Very nice location, clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast.

The room was very hot and had no fridge for cool drinks. But I probably should have checked that beforehand.

For a reasonable amount you can stay here in a castle although many rooms are in a modern wing. Don't miss this unique hotel if you are in this remote region of Germany. Room was modern, comfortable and had a nice patio. Breakfast buffet very good and friendly reception staff. The hotel is easy to reach by bus from Zittau if you have no car, but very limited bus services on weekend. During the week every hour. Hotel also has nice garden and park and a small lake. Can relax in the park. A lake for swimming in Olbersbach nearby (2 km). Wifi was good although its a rather remote area.

Furnishings a bit dated but clean

easily found - well sign posted - which was good because Zittau was a nightmare with road works & diversions. Lovely building & garden

Only thing I could say was that it was a bit dated

Our room had a nice view of the grounds and the dining room had a good ambience with elegant silver candlesticks. And, nearby was good hiking.
