Well maintained antique building, with almost all facilities well functioning. Close to the bay, eateries, groceries, drogist, laundromat and the Barra beach. Great breakfast. I felt save. The receptionists are awesome.
I had a bad flu and spent most of my 4 days in the sturdy twin bed which was great for my condition. Every once in a while I peeked out of the windows to feel and hear the noisy Barra vibe.
It is too much to ask for a recliner. Because of my flu condition, walking up the beautiful staircase was torture.

We booked 5 nights and we stayed 14 nights..... we really enjoyed the place.
It is right in front of the beach!!! Old characteristic building with a charm. Our room was large. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of bars and restaurants. A short walk from the lighthouse of Barra. Nice regular breakfast. We can't complain. The free private parking: you can use it anytime.
But from Friday 6pm until midnight on Sunday the "orla" is closed so you cannot enter the road to enter the pousada private parking to leave your car. But you can take your car...and park again after midnight Sunday.
There can be some noise from the road but for us was not a problem. Don't miss NIKI BAR , the best bar out there

very good location. close to a very nice city beach and many bars and restaurants. beautiful old building but very comfortable. A safe place to stay.
