We lived on the upper floor. the room has windows from tree sides it’s very very nice to wake up with palms view. enough space, very big terrace, kitchen.

The windows should be cleaned normally. We had the cloning every day but we didn’t have more toilet paper besides our first day. we also didn’t have change of towels during 6 days. I’m sure that I can ask about it but when you are on vacation you don’t wanna think about household things.

We rent apartments on the upper floor. It was perfect! The room was huge. The kitchen was great. Apartments look very authentic, glass windows allow you to be closer to the nature, you feel like you sleep in the middle of jungles because of beautiful palms around you. The shower was very good, water pressure was very nice. You can ask for cleaning any time. Host and his wife are very nice people who are always ready to help you and to make your stay more comfortable. AC worked fine, wi-fi worked fine (even during power cuts). We worked remotely and didn't experienced internet troubles. The main feature of the room is a HUGE balcony with tables, chairs and nice sea view: we used to invite our friends and to hang out there together. The location is perfect: near the main road, lots of restaurants around, close to the sea (2 min walk). I would definitely come back to Ravi villa again!

Room is large and location is fairly close to the beach. However I found it a very uncomfortable stay and overpriced for what you get. Sold to me as ‘room with a view’: all you can see from the room is a wall, a staircase (where people can see directly into the bedroom), and the host’s laundry which hangs right by the door. I had a stranger banging on my door and waking me up, he had the wrong room, but he was accompanied with and allowed onto the property by the host’s family. There was no apology for the mistake made. Aggressive dog across the road which came into the front area and barked at 4am in the morning. Spotlight across the road shines straight through the thin curtains. When I raised the complaint about the room being misadvertised, the offsite managers called me and were defensive and told me, late at night and in an aggressive tone (taking into account it was dark and I was a solo female traveler), that I could leave straight away. The host and on-site managers were not available. No other real facilities or amenities at this accommodation. Security gate was not locked or even closed at night. Further, host does not wear a mask around guests (despite there being a mask mandate for everyone). There are many other options in the area. Overall I loved my time in Sri Lanka and stayed at many beautiful and comfortable locations across the country, so this was a huge disappointment.

Ravi and his family were incredible hosts! During our stay they always looked after us warmly and when we had a problem with the car on departure, they all helped immediately and were incredibly helpful! The room is nice and near to the beach.

Ravi is a great host. All his family was caring about us. There is a good internet connection (the best one we've experienced in Sri Lanka) and that was cool coz we worked all the time. There is a separate kitchen which is also very comfortable and we cooked all the time. The location is also the best. The pretty center of Hikkaduwa, with the best beach for swimming. In general, the place is highly recommended for work.

Me and my boyfriend tried to sort out the organic wastes, as we had it pretty much as we ate fruits each day, and we didn't want to mix this with plastic. The host told us that they will take the wastes and compose it in natural conditions. But several times we saw that host's son was throwing our waste to the general bin with all the plastic. It was sad to look at this all.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcomed by Ravi and his family. They are such a lovely people. The room is very comfortable and the location is perfect. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

Super nice villa in an ally with flowers. Close to everything you need and a super nice host family! Access to kitchen, fridge, balcony etc. and the host helps us book a price worthy cab ride to the airport. Over all very good!
