The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. On site parking close to hotel.

It was up 4 flights of stairs which is not ideal when you have a dog. There was no one their to greet us on arrival. A message was left ( in German) and I had to find a key box to gain entry. Not much fun after a 6 hour journey.

Early morning wake up by nearby church bell every 15 min from 6 am onwards

The location was 1st class and the staff were really friendly. The menu offering catered for many tastes and the breakfast was properly generous .

Very large and pleasant room. Enough place to sit in room. New television and interior. Beautiful location. Excellent breakfast.

Staff was very busy when checking in. Parking not so easy.

Very friendly staff, Katharina was very helpful. We something found hospitality a bit distant and somewhat unfriendly in Germany; however not here! We stayed in a nice room overlooking the Dom; the room was fresh and modern (unlike many places in this region that seem to have a rather dated look). Across the entrance of the hotel is a small coffee shop that was surprisingly city-like for a small village like Sankt Blasien.

If there would be one thing, it would be the minute-long church bells at 6 in the morning. Of course part of the 'couleur locale', however the people of Sankt Blasien must find it annoying too to get this mandatory wake-up call every morning we were thinking.
