The receptionist was completely incompetent
The cook and waiters friendly
The breakfast ok
The dinner killed us nearly - we got terribly ill for 3 days!! - never ever again
The location is only practicable if someone wants to hike onto Kilimajaro. Any other activity is impossible without extremly expensive shuttles

The staff are very helpful and do all they can to make your stay comfortable. It was very cold and we were supplied with heaters for the room. It is very near the Machame gate entrance to Kili. and when there is no cloud the view of the mountain would be spectacular! The gardens are well kept, the bed comfortable. A trip to the waterfall and coffee tour was arranged which was very enjoyable indeed.
Unfortunately we were the only people staying and the kitchen seemed unprepared.

Excellent location for someone who wants to explore Kilimanjaro National Park.
Beautiful view of Kilimanjaro mountain, when the weather permits
Loved the coffee with fresh milk during breakfast.
Dinners took a bit long to arrive.
Had to dispute a wrong charge for a water I didn’t consume. It was fixed in a timely manner, though.
