Beautiful apartment in a great location, close to all the key sites in the area.

Location of the apartment can’t be beat. It is inside the historic part of the city, walking distance to the major sites and places to eat. We were in the unit on the 2nd floor, which for Americans actually means the 3rd floor, with some rather narrow steps. The living area was all on the entry floor, including bathroom, but the sleeping area is in a loft, up another set of steps. This is not a complaint, just a description for others if they have difficulties with stairs, as there are no lifts here. There was a full kitchen to use, including stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher. There was also a washer/dryer. We were met by Jenneke in person and shown to the apartment. She was friendly and helpful. She provided us with a key card to use the off site parking structure. It’s not far but it’s not on site of the apartment. She showed us to use a secondary short term parking to load and unload.

For some reason the apartment was a bit awkward. Perhaps because it’s a renovated old building. There was hardly any counter space in the bathroom, no hand soap, and just 3 tiny bottles of something that was both shampoo and body wash. Towels were thin, no wash cloths. The place was relatively clean, though we did note some stains on the sofa cushions and wet/moldy at the bottom of the tumbler in the bathroom. We used the washer/dryer, which was probably more trouble than it’s worth but we needed to do laundry after a week of travel. Provided were 2 detergent tabs. Although we were provided instruction manuals, the machine was confusing to use for us (Americans). First load didn’t dry, and it was difficult to do a dry only cycle. The second load got unbalanced while we were out I guess and had to start over when we came back.

Location.Good Size. Amenities. Host was excellent. Met us nearby and took us to the apartment and car park.

We loved the location. The apartment was well equipped- refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, and coffee pot. The owners were very helpful. They met us as we arrived to help us find the apartment, park the car, and provided a thorough orientation to the apartment and Arles.

I didn’t realize when booking the apartment that the bedroom is up a flight of stairs and the bathroom is on the lower level of the apartment.

Location is perfect! The apartment has everything you could need, and it's within walking distance from all the best spots. Olivia and Lionel were exceptional hosts, kind and sweet they were there to greet us and share all the tips on what to do and where to go. And their tips were amazing! Having a parking spot was such an added bonus. We didn't need the car at all while we walked all over the center of Arles and didn't have to worry about parking fees.

Wonderful location and apartment, delightful hosts…could not imagine a better place to stay in Arles. Would recommend without hesitation!

Great apartment in the very center of Arles, with all necessary amenities for a family of 4. Very nice host, all well explained including sightseeing, maps, brochures etc.

Great location, great communication, and my favourite, a washing machine that is a dryer also. Drop a load in, when you come back, all done!

Nice location; comfortable; hosts very friendly and helpful. Air conditioning worked well and was very welcome given the extreme heat.

Nice apartment but very few niceties for the price. A Nespresso machine instead of a coffeepot, for example, would go a long way. Would suggest providing some provisions for breakfast such as milk, juice, packaged pastries. A few small details like that would have made the place feel that one was getting more value for money. (Light in room with toilet wasn't working.)

The hostess communicated very well. The apartment is well located above the amphitheater which could be noisy at night if a show was happening, but they ended by 11:30ish so it was ok. Great place to stay for a few days.

Great location, spacious and well-equipped with good quality kitchen appliances. Very comfortable and quiet. The welcome by Christine was lovely and very efficient. We particularly appreciated the free parking.

The wall mount shower was broken. Not a major issue, just an inconvenience. It would have been useful to have directions for leaving Arles on Saturday as the market stretched a long way. Otherwise absolutely lovely.

This beautiful apartment is literally located overlooking the ancient amphitheatre and next to the amazing arena . you could not have a better location in this beautiful city . Olivia , our host yet again was super helpful booking our taxi for 5 for our airport return .

There was nothing not to like .

A lovely, comfortable apartment with A/C right in the middle of Arles. Our kids were enchanted to watch a dance recital that was taking place that evening in the ancient theater, right from our bedroom window. Each room had a separate A/C. We didn't try to do any complex cooking in the kitchen, but it was adequate for preparing & serving breakfast. Olivia was so kind, meeting us at our convenience at a nearby spot where it's easy to pull over for a minute, and then showing us to the apartment while her husband showed my husband where we could park longer-term in the lot a few blocks away. The opportunity to enjoy accommodations like this is precisely why we pack light--it was easy to walk with just our backpacks. Travelers with heavier luggage might not find this location as convenient. Olivia also suggested places we could visit nearby and we ended up choosing a restaurant just 2 minutes from the apartment that she pointed out on the way there. There are several on that street to choose from (but not as many open on a Monday which is when we visited). The theater and especially the amphitheater are worth a visit.

Loved the location of this airbnb. You are in the heart of the old section of town, close to all the sights, lots of shops, restaurants and activities. We loved Christine, who came to help us find the apartment and welcome us!

The driving was challenging, but we expected that. The bedroom area is a loft and not a separate space, which I had not understood. Travelling with a toddler we would have preferred a separate bedroom space for her naps and early bedtime.

Good location

The location of this property was absolutely amazing. The sites of antiquity are literally at your doorstep; it was nice to take a break in a spacious apartment with a nice kitchen and have the opportunity to go out as often as you please without having to drive. Olivia went out of her way to meet us, take us to the apartment in the old part of the town, make sure we had a feel for the area and took us to the parking area. Our hosts were very well organized and extremely kind. Merci beaucoup for making our stay special!

Everything was great!

The apartment is right in the historic centre with a view from the bedroom directly over the Greek Amphitheatre. Arrival is easy - Lionel waited for us at the entrance to the centre and walked us to the apartment and then to the garage (parking is free). The apartment is spacious and well equipped, great WiFi connection. Lots of restaurants and cafes in the area.

The proximity to all the places to visit/do the grocery/eat out. Comfortable beds, spacious, well equiped kitchen. Lovely view. Easy communication with the hosts.

The building is old, you hear the noise in the morning from the street/upstairs apartment-but this didn’t affect us a lot. Just saying for the people who might be sensitive…

The responsible for delivering the keys was very kind.

Clean, great facilities, good location.

OK, access is very challenging due to the two steep narrow stairs from street to apartment. Not for the faint hearted because the second set of stairs did not have a handrail and it had a change of direction. Not recommended for anyone under 10 or over 45.

Location is perfect, right in the old city next to the old theater and coliseum. You can simply walk everywhere in the city. Arles is a little gem that we did not heard much of. It certainly surprised us all. Also, Olivia was VERY helpful with all sort of tips, even after we checked out. I highly recommend the place and would definitely come back and recommend!

Excellent location within the old town; parking pass to a nearby carpark include in the price (Olivia met us there); apartment is on the first floor, with nice view directly onto the old Theatre, apartment was well equipped including washing machine. It was ideal for two of us and Olivia was really easy to communicate with and provided lots of information.

super nice host and the apartment is in a top location

The apartment was very beautifully renovated and designed. Everything was comfortable: the kitchen, the beds, the sitting corners. It was also clean. The location in the middle of the old town was very special and nice: we listened to the open air concerts in the Theatre Antique from our window and it was always lively and cosy in the streets around us. At night, closing the windows was enough to sleep without noise. The airco did not make much noise also. The host was friendly and flexible. We arrived late in the evening, but she was there to welcome us. You can use an abonnement from the house to park your car in the centre parking. No extra costs. WiFi was okay, no problems. There is a lot to do in and around Arles: cultural and sportive activities. A very good basis for our vacation.

The bathroom (shower) wasn’t totally cleaned when we arrived. In summertime, you have to keep the window of the biggest sleepingroom shut, otherwise many little flies come in and keep flying around the light on the ceiling. No more comments, it could’t be better.
