Das sehr große Zweibettzimmer mit schön großem Bad sowie ein vorhandenes Restaurant mit Bar waren eine sehr gute Hotelausstattung.
Das Personal half auch bei einer ungewöhnlichen Serviceanfrage sofort.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, checkin went smooth. Location is perfect, very close to Braunschweig Hbf main train station. The room was cosy, clean, and it has anything you would need. Bathroom was clean.
There is nothing in particular that I didn't like or went bad. Everything was as expected.

check-in no problem. Interaction with receptionist was good. Receptionist was not empowered though to provide satisfactory solution to our unhappiness and inability to sleep. Partial compensation would have been appreciated.
Bed bugs! When calling the hotel after my return home, I spoke to the Manager. Whilst expressing sincere regret over the incident, she clearly put the blame with me for not calling the reception number. The reception is unmanned between 10:00pm-07:00am and it was not obvious to me that calling the reception number during these hours would get me switched through to the manager's phone. She stated she would have gotten us another room rightaway. I don't feel this would have solved the problem, as we would not have felt safe about cleanliness standards and possibility of bed bugs.

No curtains in windows just shutter outside, it's was too warm to put it down,

Walking distance from the train station, friendly staff, good value for money
Pillows were too soft, at 9 the breakfast buffet was practically depleted

The room corresponds to the stated size but you feel cramped. The same for the bathroom. The door of the room led to the stairs, so I heard the noise of closing doors in the evening and in the morning. Breakfast was good.
