Central location in the characterful, old part of the town. Comfortable and clean, even if the decor was a little “out there”! Staff friendly and helpful. Parking onsite.

Saw no one so hard to rate staff but the phone connection was great. Checked in on a Sunday so no one at Stad Hotel but fine once I got all the codes. Same re: Breakfast at Hotel - very nice. Very nice well located place to stay! Very clean and a great place to stay!

Little confusing to find Stad Hotel locked and no one around but it was sorted out quickly.

The room was larger than we expected, and very nicely laid out for being in such an old historic building. The location was wonderful, and included free parking on site. Walking to the Square and the Stadshotell for breakfast was easy, and took under five minutes. We were lucky to be there on a Wednesday night, when the Hotel has an All you can eat peel and eat Shrimp Buffett. Not to be missed!

The bathroom was modern and comfortable and the the bed was large

Perhaps we were unlucky to have had the worst room at the hotel ( nr 17); but that room was breathless and dark. A small window that was unopenable, the airflow was non- existent; the lighting in the room was poor, the bedside lights not strong enough to read by. The reviews about the hotel on booking.com have been glowing so far including about the service ( which is one reason we chose it)but we found :- .the welcome lukewarm with a lack of interest throughout our stay; one staff who came to clean the room one afternoon while my husband was having a nap, was brusque, rude and unaccommodating . the breakfast buffet and room unattended , one morning there were no spoons, the milk and yoghurts not kept cold, and again a lack of lighting in one area of the buffet ( the eating room was however wonderfully sunny and bright)
