The open wood heater in front of the bar with great view of the mountains, but it was a challenge to grab a chair in front of it with my family.
Facilities closing early, like the gym & pool.
8.0
The room, didn’t eat there after the first night
Only serving craft beer and were served a glass of off wine
Not having a choice of beer, served bad wine and the meal was undercooked

The room was spacious and clean.
The indoor pool
Was nice but abit cold.
Spa was beautiful.
The pony rides were not available.
The water rides were not available next to the playground as they had no batteries..
The playground outside had a broken swing with tape around it.
The train and merry go round operate at a certain time and not all day which we were not informed about.
We had to ask for all of this. And then be told they were out of action. Very disappointing as that’s why we came. I wish we were notified in advance they were not available.

We come every year and love our experience.
We did have an incident with a dinner booking not being honoured, but hotel management handled it very quickly and professionally. While we didn't get the outcome we requested, management were very understanding.

The location
Paying $749 for a room that was being advertised for $509 and even less on the day I arrived is no way to treat a loyal customer of booking.com and even the hotel. But the main issue for me was that the room is not worth that price at all. Room is very run down with dirty walls and door and stained carpets. Not a good look at all. Customer service at the reception was awful as well. The concierge was lovely though. Very hospitable and helpful. That was the only good thing about the place.

Kids activities and amenities overall were great to enjoy.
The Resort needs to be more babies / toddlers friendly by having baby changing rooms and stroller ramps. The restaurant needs to increase vegan & vegetarian options and more sitting arrangements.
6.0
Staff and location
The food and limited availability during such a big event. No water in rooms which were nearly 700 dollars a night. Seemed to be no planning. We had a soggy under cooked pizza on the Friday night which we asked if they could cook a little longer but it came back burnt.

Our room was spacious and very comfortable, we had a most enjoyable dinner sitting the bar area adjacent to the main entrance. We very much enjoyed to the pool/hot tub/sauna area with outdoor pool perfect for a cold plunge. Very lovely grounds to explore also.
My partner ordered a room service meal on Saturday evening which was very slow in arriving, otherwise everything else about out stay was perfect.

The range of facilities, the grounds & the staff has wonderfull customer skills.
Some of the public areas & grounds would benefit from repair & decoration.

I like the outstanding design of the hotel and the great view of the lobby and the outside garden.
The carpet in the room is a bit old and dirty.

Staff were great
Very old and unloved. Stains on floors, bed hard as a rock, bathrooms old and dirty.
Food was probably the worst I’ve ever had

Location, variety of things to do and view
Hallways were noisy. Dinner at the Embers was poor. Not value for money and steak was cold

So much to do for kids
We didn’t stay long enough.

Staff were in most cases very good, Breakfast was good and had a range of something for everyone. Whisky bar was superb (Kid free zone). Room service staff where on it (Very thankful)
The place is dated and needs some serious work done in places. No laundry facilities, No way to cast devices to your TV. Wi-Fi is slow at best. Place is super nosey (Granted this was during holidays). Rubbish info for walking trails that are local to the hotel (Disappointing). Shower that is still in a bath (so 1980S)

We went for 2 days 1 night for our easter getaway. The staff were super friendly and lots of facilities and activities for the little one to enjoy.
The hotel is a little dated but still comfortable.

Large room, big towels and an amazing range of activities
A little difficult to find

Great facilities for the kids- that’s why we come. Pool, ice skating, arcade, giant slide, ball pit, mini train, pony rides, tree top adventure park (for 10+) and mirror maze.
The indoor pool is always a bit cold and some of the rooms probably need a bit of love. But it’s perfect for us as a family. It is pricey but for one off fun packed weekend it’s great.

Not much
Staff were very slack as in front of house staff

The grounds were beautiful.
The bathroom needs a lot of work. The sink had a massive crack right through the middle - very unhygienic. It was very hard to get into the shower. It was ok for 6 ft men. The lift was always dirty.

Breakfast was great. Good variety of hot and cold food. Kids loved the juices available.
Lots of activities for the kids aged 2 and 4. We spent 2 full days there and it was perfect.
Nothing. Loved our whole stay

Bit disappointed in the room meals top prices for pub food had a shared Piri Piri chicken that you could ha purchased in Aldi for $12.00 paid $65 fries most likely from the same place paid $15.00 Brockley that you could not even cut with a knife last time we won't go back there again the most expensive place we stopped in and the worst paid half that price for better accommodation. on leaving asked if we could just have a slice of toast and a coffee for two and the wanted $50 .00 what a rip off
Most things the guy on reception was very good and helpful. the room had no toilet brush. no complement biscuits no water to drink all the for $330.00 per night. in a room for 2 people

This was our 3rd stay in the hotel. The grounds and potential for this resort are incredible, it's a great spot for families to come.
The whole place needs a freshen up. Rooms and bathrooms need a renovation. Staff were overwhelmed by the amount of people during breakfast. It was our 3rd stay in this hotel and we are now paying double what we did 4 years ago - for worse conditions. I hope we can visit again but it definitely won't be until the hotel has had a serious update.

The dining experiences were amazing, with plenty to choose from and excellent food and service
Bathrooms a little old, shower in the bath

Beautiful resort inside and out. Buffet breakfast was great. Outdoor/Indoor play area for kids was excellent.
Staff did not help or took notice i was travelling alone with a toddler. No help with my bags until I said something. Staff need more training, a little slow with service. Manager on duty rushed me and didn't care to help. No parking available for parents with prams, I had to park far away. In-room dining food was cold, below average and no vegetables on the the menu. I could not even order steamed carrots for my child. No ponies to look at as they advertised.

Amazing views friendly staff.
Toilet seat broken, hair all over room and bathroom, Childs half sucked lollie stuck to spare blanket in cupboard. It felt really run down compared to my first stay in 2014
