Our stay was fantastic! Family of 5 with kids 7 and under stayed here to enjoy Starved Rock and Matthiessen State parks. It was conveniently located within a couple miles to both parks, very clean, easy to check in, and host response was great when I had a question. We would definitely recommend and will possibly book again in the future.

Great value for a stay with the family. Very spacious and has all amenities you'd want. One detail although it wasn't a deal breaker for us and other villas weren't too busy but since this is an end unit you do hear some car activity, especially if someone parks next to the unit. Overall, fantastic stay.

Our stay was superb. Ivan communicated clearly and prompltly. I needed a special request and he was more than helpful. The property is well kept and well stocked. It is conveniently located for us to hike at both Starved Rock and Matthesian Parks. A great place to stay.

Smoke detector batteries went off during the first night of stay and disrupted our sleep. Also hot water heater was not on upon arrival which caused us to have a late start as we had to wait to take showers.

This place was perfect!! It was immaculate, cozy, and in a great location. We came to spend a 2 night getaway. It’s right down the road from Starved Rock State Park! It rained quite a bit so we spent more time at the villa than planned, but was okay! The staff at the resort were great, and the ice cream was delish! Ivan was great to communicate with, and we will definitely come back!

We visited Starved Rock and a couple of the nearby towns. Excellent stay. The four of us had a great time, even in the wicket heat of the La Salle and Utica area this week. Of course, the villa had A/C, which was perfect.

Just very peaceful. Good to get away with all the amenities this lodge had to offer. Wished I could have stayed the entire time but we had to cut outlet stay short. Definitely would come back and extend that stay!

Wonderful little cabin, I can't say the same for Great Bear Lodge, they treated us horribly, I am actually glad I rented from VBRO instead of giving them my money!

The owner replies very timely to questions. We were sent the check in information a couple of days before our stay which I appreciated. The owner also included a map with directions for ease in finding the property. The villa was very roomy and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this beautiful villa near to Starved Rock.

Over all it was great staying at the villa. Great communication throughout our stay. The place was very clean & also well stocked. Loved that they had a washer & dryer. I think my only issue was the fact that we had two 2 year olds with us. My son & my niece. There was no way to actually lock the door. Meaning no latch or deadbolt. So it was easy for the toddlers to just grab the handle & out they were able to go. So more of a safety hazard. Of course we were watching them but I went out to the car to get something, closed the door behind me & as Im walking back my son was walking out the door. Main reason I didnt give 5 stars. We had to put a chair in front of the door every night. But if you dont have toddlers, should be no prob.

Everything about our stay was great! Check in was simple, we were provided with the door code in advance and had no issues finding the property.
The property was clean and functional, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed.
Overall my family enjoyed our stay and had a great trip!

We loved the villa. Our kids love animals so the decor was a hit. All of the open space was a huge plus for our family with a 2 and 4 yr old. We spread out into different rooms for sleeping and were able to utilize all of the space. We asked tor assistance with something and the owner was very responsive. Being walking distance from the resort was very helpful with young children. The villa is a ton of space and would highly recommend and consider booking another stay there in the future.
