We enjoyed our stay in spite of the construction work going on. Not really bothersome and the workers were very nice. The condo is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Liz is the perfect host! She kept us apprised of the construction several months out of our arrival which was extremely helpful. She was very attentive and answered my messages in a timely manner. We would definitely come back in the future. South Seas is a beautiful resort!!!

The registration process on VRBO was easy and smooth. This was our first use of VRBO and we will use it again.
Our contact with the property owner was easy and she was available. She did not, however, reveal the full condition of the exterior of the property and made it clear after we were there that there would be no full or even partial refund.
The interior of the property was as stated on the website. The rental unit itself is average, clean, well accessorized, and does have a great view of the pool and beach. The master bed is comfortable but light from the stairwell that shines in all night from the outside hallway through externally controlled shutters makes sleep difficult.
The exterior of the unit, however, is an active construction site and these units should not be rented until all exterior construction is completed. I will try to post photos.
There is a sign posted on the unit door - it's a legal directive from the municipality that says inhabit at your own risk. The elevator is not hooked up to electric. The area between this unit and the beach is still torn up from Ian. Construction was noisy, overhead, from 8am to 6pm or later. We were told to use the pool and beach behind the neighboring building - a half mile walk over rough sand/dirt walkways.
Older people, unfit people, and people with children should avoid this property.

The condo was very nice ,clean and up to date. It has an amazing view of the beach and gulf from the large screened in balcony which you can watch the sunset right into the water from. The pool was great and has a nice 8ft deep end. The beach is awesome with plenty of room and soft sand. The seashells you can find there are crazy and we loved hunted for them. There are some delicious restaurants that are now open and close by. My wife and I were celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary and it was the best vacation we have had together! Highly recommend that you stay here!

VRBO needs a six star rating for hostess who go above and beyond to ready a condo after a major hurricane. Exactly as described, very clean, nicely furnished, second floor balcony with views of sunsets every day. There are repairs ongoing but that means no crowds. We had two weeks of the place to ourselves. Steps to uncrowded quiet beaches and lots of shells. This is exactly what my wife and I were seeking for our 52nd anniversary. Thank you Elizabeth for letting us share your condo. I can't think of anything that could have been better

I stayed here with my spouse in the spring of 2023. The first aspect of the condo we noticed was how it faced directly west and had fantastic views of the Gulf. We loved having breakfast on the screened porch and watching the unique wildlife and the waves!
The condo was very clean and was thoughtfully stocked with lots of cookware and beach towels; there were even beach chairs provided for free. It was about a two minute walk directly to the beach, which was very clean and beautiful. A few great restaurants were founds within a short driving distance.
We also very much appreciated how the host was not only easy to reach, but also proactive and candid in letting us know about ongoing construction in the building (it turned out to not be a problem).
We'd definitely stay here again!

I love the location of the condo on the island. Short walk to the beach or pool. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. My husband and I plan to be back again! This was our 2nd stay (same condo)

My wife and I enjoyed our stay and loved the Captiva area. The condo was very quiet and the view from the balcony was great, especially for sunsets. The beach was never crowded and there is a nice boardwalk with showers by the pool. I would definitely recommend this condo for a couple that wants a nice relaxing stay!

The room itself was clean and very nice and just steps from the beach. The keyless entry was hassle free. It was an ideal vacation for quiet and relaxing beach bums.

The property was exactly as advertised. The unit was very clean and comfortable and the check in process was easy. Access to the beach was quick and easy and other amenities were very close by. This was our first stay on Captiva and we loved it, definitely coming back. The host was very responsive and the overall experience was excellent.
