We came for a 4 day mini-vacation and we couldn’t have selected a better place to stay and get away from it all. We will definitely be back again.

We arrived to a super clean, fun space with a great yard and access to the pond. The house worked perfectly for us, with our two dogs. The owners were very responsive, and even left us a bottle of wine. We will likely book again.

Wonderful house, great hosts!

We had a great stay during 2023 Memorial weekend. The house was sweet, very clean and perfect for a family with a mother in law. Everyone had their own space (even the teenager had his own bed) and we enjoyed the outside with the kayaks and paddling board. The view from the living room/kitchen is stunning and the pictures don't do it justice. Linda Jane was very responsive and very communicative. We hope to come back next Summer.

My sisters and I stayed a couple nights before Halloween. Weather was warm in day and cold at night. The home was clean and cozy. Would have liked to had a fire under the gorgeous stars but everything that was advertised in the photos for the patio was gone. The propane wood stove was not working in the parlor but the furnace was. We all thought it was very noisy which made sleeping downstairs hard to do. Beds are pretty stiff but sheets very soft. Maybe would be better to stay in summer when heat is not needed and boats are really out on the grass to use. We did not want to carry our luggage up the ladder and railing up top was shakey. Driving to Bennington was close for shopping and lunch. Great stores and we even saw a play.

Linda Jane went above and beyond to make our trip perfect! We would highly recommend staying at this property.

The pictures don't do it justice. Everything detail was provided. The place is adorable and very clean. It's got a beautiful deck that overlooks the lake. It's also located in a nice quiet neighborhood.

The cottage was comfy and equipped with everything we needed. We spent a lot of time in the yard and on the water. We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I just spent a long weekend at this lake side home and had a great time. House was spotless, well stocked and instructions were provided for everything that you may not be familiar on how to use. We made use of the kayak, canoe and paddle board which we launched right from the backyard. The firepit was a plus for the cool evenings and my kids enjoyed the corn hole game they found in the garage. This is my second time renting with Linda Jane and hopefully not my last she is an awesome host.

I don't think LJ forgot one single detail in this beautiful house. Who doesn't love an amazing view from your backyard with a lake. Canoe and kayaks await you. Glorious morning sunrises as you sip your coffee on the back deck. If I could of rated higher than 5 stars, would have been a ten. Get in touch with LJ, you will not be dissappointed.

We had a wonderful stay and fell in love with your Awesome Bear Lake Cottage! The view of the Lake is Amazing! The property was very clean, comfortable and updated. Linda the host is very attentive and gracious. A generous assortment of watercraft was provided, which was enjoyed by all. Great location, very private with the feeling of seclusion. But only 8 miles away from the town of Bennington, which provides a wide range of restaurants and stores. We would love to return and stay longer! Linda, thank you so much again! The Estrella's

My dog and I had such a great stay at this cute welcoming home. Just walking in the door, I could tell effort went into making sure things were perfect. The kayaks were great and so much fun to take around the very clean lake. My dog loved splashing in the shallow water around the shoreline. The fire pit, gas grill, plenty of chairs outside, well equipped kitchen…..the view! It’s everything I was looking for. I slept downstairs as my dog would never make it up the steep stairs, but bed was comfortable. Owner was great to communicate with. Will definitely look to stay again and would recommend to friends. Just bring your bug spray for when outside!

We then discovered LJ left us a bottle of wine & a cake since we had mentioned we were there for a bday weekend. Unfortunately the weather was not our friend that weekend so we were unable to enjoy any of the outdoor amenities. The cottage was clean & cozy. It was the perfect size for myself, husband & 9 year old. There are steep loft stairs to keep in mind, no doors on the guest room & kids room if you are looking for more privacy. LJ was very attentive during our stay, texted & emailed back quickly. Great communication. We really enjoyed the propane stove in the living room. Very nice property for vacationing in the Bennington VT area. Close to everything with a country getaway feel. Cottage is very comfortable, almost new look and feel, has everything you need. Linda Jane is a charming, communicative hostess, with an attention to detail that's creative and much appreciated.

Small cottage with large yard, lots of running space, nice view. Super clean. Though small it's well thought out. Just right for the two of us and our tiny fur balls. Owner very responsive.

We had another wonderful time once again at the lake! This is the second time we stayed at one of Linda Jane's cottages (last year we were at the Moose). She is a wonderful host whose hospitality is unrivaled. The setting is beautiful and her cottages are perfect. There is so much to do in the area, and when at the cottage there is kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and a beach just down the street. The back porch is wonderful to just sit and relax in the evening. Wonderful place!

This is our 4th time renting with Linda Jane. She always goes above and beyond to make us feel like this is our home while we are there. The lake is peaceful and perfect for family and friends. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We had a great time! The house had everything we needed for the four of us and our dog. Loved being right on the lake with kayaks and paddle board to easily launch from the back yard. Tons hiking trails close by. Cooked all meals at home. Kitchen had all the essentials. Would definitely recommend this beautiful vacation home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Big Pond. The house was super clean and had all the amenities we needed (both inside and out). Linda Jane is super responsive and very helpful. The property is private (no neighbors in view) with a great view of the lake and plenty of space for lawn games. There are also good hiking trails (up to Little Pond) right from the house, as well as tons to do nearby. And dog friendly too - which was great! The lake is small but good for fishing, kayaking, etc. - the best swimming is from the beach which is a two min walk away (swimming is possible by the house too but it is shallow there and you need to walk out a ways). Would come back again for sure!
