A great place to relax. Beautiful views, quite and peaceful.

We came to Cherokee to see "3 Doors Down" at the Casino and chose this very special place. The large deck is eye level with many tree tops promoting a "tree house" feeling along with gorgeous mountain views. The house had everything we needed; all the appliances worked well including the fireplace and hot tub. We used the grill for burgers and really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Highly recommend seeing Mingo Falls (160 steps up to viewing platform), it is truly a beautiful waterfall. Our host was very pleasant and it was obvious they took great care in appointing the cabin. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed staying here for our fall break trip in the Smoky Mountains. The cabin had a great location with easy access to lots of activities. Comfy beds and amenities. We enjoyed relaxing in the evening in the hot tub and then watching a family movie. Highly recommend!

The.cabin is very secluded. It was a little hard to find, but I called the owner who assisted me. It was a short stay, we spent one day in Bryson city and one fishing in Cherokee. The only issue was the bathroom needed some TLC. The washer/dryer was nice to have.

Booked this cabin for my wife and I as a week long getaway. Nice place, ticked away in the mountain, with the sound of the river down below. Close enough to the GSM park, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and surrounding tourists attractions.

We really enjoyed this decorative cabin loved the humor within most of the signs in the house. The beds were so comfortable and the hot tub was hot and the Jets were powerful. We would go back in a heartbeat. The views were much better than the pictures and plenty of deck chairs to enjoy the views and sound of the river. It was a very easy drive to Bryson city for the train. The owners were wonderful and responsive, although we did not need a thing. Evolve was a smooth process too. It is about 12- 15 minute drive to the nearest grocery store so get everything you need beforehand. We have a smaller car, so did not have an issue with the driveway but if you feel that you might, they do have pointers and options on the refrigerator.

Everything was as it looked on the website. Beautiful mountain views and so relaxing.
Far enough away from everything but close enough to stores if anything was needed.

My group of 4 (2 couples) booked this place on Memorial Day weekend. It was a great value proposition compared to any hotels nearby. The photos in the listing are representative; you should expect exactly what you see. The house is a bit dated with some quirks, but would be great for a family or group the size of ours.
We cooked several meals and were happy to find a well appointed kitchen. The host provided a variety of snacks that were appreciated. Two in our group used the hot tub and were glad it was there even though they had to dodge raindrops to use it on that rainy weekend. The hot tub is one of the reasons we booked Nature's Retreat over other rentals.
I don't have much in terms of negative feedback, but both bedrooms are upstairs, as is the only tub/shower. If anyone in your group has mobility challenges, please keep that in mind. The stairs are probably a little steep by modern standards too. There is a half bath downstairs, so it isn't necessary to walk upstairs just to use the bathroom.
The house isn't fancy. But, it is fully functional and will probably suit your group just fine for a stay near Cherokee and Bryson City. I would return as would the rest of my group.

The cabin was nicely equipped with all one would need for a vacation away. Even condiments, seasonings and snacks! Beds were comfy and the closests gigantic. The views off the deck from the rocking chairs and hot tub were stunning. It is a cabin, not a hotel. If you bring dogs, be aware that there is not a yard. You need to walk them on the street, where you will deal with loose running dogs (we saw a rottweiler and a mix breed) and a crazy neighbour (that chases you in his ride on UTV) that doesn't let you get close to his property. We had to load our dogs up to give them a proper walk. If you don't have pets, it's a very relaxing stay!

This cabin was wonderful!! it was cozy, clean, well organized, and the owners provided a special treat for my sons 30th birthday! I appreciated the owner welcoming me with a text upon arrival, and responding to my messages. We totally enjoyed our entire stay.

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary and it was such a wonderful weekend at this property! We absolutely loved the views and enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch. The hot tub was a huge reason why we booked this location and it did not disappoint, perfectly placed to enjoy the sunset and mountains. The hosts are super kind, left us such a sweet anniversary gift, and let us know if we needed anything that we could contact them. Cute little cabin, loved the location. We enjoyed exploring Bryson City and surrounding areas. Highly recommend this cabin!

This cabin was delightful! It was clean, cozy, and comfortable! The hot tub and the beautiful mountain scenery was an absolute delight! I would return any other time. Oh… And the host left a lovely little treat for my son’s birthday. We felt well cared for.

Instructions were provided before our stay that made it easy to find, enter, and enjoy the property. Tags and notes throughout the home eliminated any questions about operating equipment, finding nearby attractions, or getting food. No detail was overlooked! And most of all, we loved, loved, loved the quiet deck and gorgeous views. Fantastic getaway!

The cabin is nicely equipped with all the essentials needed to relax and unwind. The view is gorgeous while sitting in the hot tub or rocking chairs. Loads of nice touches in the cabin and the fire warmed up the main room immediately. Loads of condiments were also in the cabin. We took our dogs and the negative side is that there is no yard for them to relieve themselves, only the sides of the road. We tried to walk them, but the old, crazy neighbour came chasing us because we walked them near his driveway. He chased us down in his buggy and told us to never come back to this part, it's all private. We kept our mouths shut because we were concerned the old man might have a gun. We also had to watch out for the lose running rottweiler. It's a great place if you don't have pets with you and don't need a walk.

We were looking for a get-away for a couple of days where my daughter and I could take our dogs, enjoy some hiking and relaxing. Nature's Retreat was just what we needed. Loved the hot tub, the mountain views, sounds of the river below, clear starry night sky; nice deck with rocking chairs, picnic table - half of it is covered which is great if raining, kitchen well stocked with pots/pans, kitchen utensils, etc; nice room off the kitchen with W/D and a table area for work; tv/internet worked well; brought dog play gate to put across deck opening - dogs loved hanging out on the deck; Minor downsides: the upstairs floors squeak so we worried that we were waking each other up walking around; there is very little yard for dogs to go to the bathroom; the short road up to home is a bit skinny and the driveway is small but we managed to get turned around ok with our old large SUV! Short drive to Bryson City and a number of great trails, sights to explore and quaint shops; Would stay here again if we come back to this area.

We needed a few days to unwind from our busy schedule. This was a perfect choice. Quiet. Clean & convenient to town as well. Everything was as described & the personal touches were appreciated. We would stay again. The Great Dane also gave it a great pup review.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this quiet and secluded cabin. It was a much needed break from the everyday norms of life. Everything was onsite (only needed to get charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill). Dishes, pots, pans, coffee pot, etc. were all there for use.
Only about an hour drive from main tourist areas, and the drivesw were nice. Parking area for the cabin was tricky to maneuver the first time, but once figured out, no problem at all.
All in all, great time away and the cabin was nice.

We had a great time in the Smoky Mountains. Nature's Retreat was clean and well stocked. We had a beautiful view, complete with the river sounds below. The owner was very friendly and responsive and we would definitely stay there again.

Friendly needs a good cleaning of dust&cob webs. Allergies bothered us from it

We loved the location of this cabin. It is close to Sylva and Bryson city. The perfect place to spend time with family! It was cold during our stay so we spent most of our time inside the cabin by the fire place watching TV. We would love to stay here again!!

It was a very nice cabin, with beautiful views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great, cute place in the hills. It was our anniversary and we wanted a quick getaway. It's close to the Smokies and a quick drive to Bryson City, NC (which is also cute). Will go again.

All was great! Driveway is a bit of a pain to back out of, esp if you drive a full size family vehicle however we made it work!

We had a great time at the Nature’s Retreat Cabin! The cabin was clean and so cozy which made it perfect for fall in the mountains! A great feature was the gas fireplace which was warm and cozy to sit by on those cooler evenings. Additionally, the hot tub was relaxing as well as it was definitely cool enough to hop in and enjoy! The Kind size bed was also a nice feature and the bed was really comfy. It was nice to have your own tv to enjoy as well. Just be aware that both bedrooms are upstairs along with the main bathroom which might be an issue for anyone who has limited mobility. The other bedroom was perfect for my son and his family of three. Both bedrooms had a connecting balcony which was a plus. We could open the door to the balcony and enjoy the nice cool crisp air. Loved that feature! The cabin was beautiful and well stocked with everything you need! The kitchen had anything you could think of that might be needed. Fully equipped. We didn’t need to bring anything extra. There is game boards, Word puzzles, puzzles, books, and dvd’s to choose from. There were even towels for the hot tub provided! Our family was really impressed with our stay there. It was definitely more than we expected. The cabin was secluded which we liked the tranquility and not having to worry about traffic or noise. It was peaceful, quiet, and in a great area. We were close to Cherokee and Bryson City where there was access to eating places although we ate most of our meals at the cabin. I had great communication with the owner and it was a pleasure talking with him. We felt at home there and safe and secure. The wrap around porch was nice as well. We could sit and rock while having coffee and just enjoying the nice cool air and the beautiful color of the trees! A very nice getaway overall this experience was rated as a 10! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nature’s Retreat and we will definitely choose it again. I highly recommend it! Although I need to add, if you have a large SUV or truck, the driveway is small and the access is narrow so I would recommend using a small vehicle to access this property. We have a large SUV and it was a bit of a challenge especially if there are 2 vehicles. Overall it was a great and pleasant experience! Thank you to the owners! We will be back!

This property was exceptionally clean and really well decorated. So many thoughtful amenities. Short drive to Bryson City or Cherokee.

Staying here was privacy at it's finest. Throughout our 5 day stay we only saw 4 other cars go by. The only sounds were of the river down below and the nature surrounding us. The covered deck with the rocking chairs and picnic table was the perfect setting for all our meals and relaxation time. The kitchen had every utensil and tool we needed during our stay. The bed was nice and comfy as well. The only negative aspects was the water pressure for the tub/shower was very weak and the view from the deck is completely obstructed from the trees closest by.

Had a very relaxing stay. Loved porch. Great place to get away but still close to area attractions!

The house is older but taken care of. Perfect size for our family of 4 and large dog. The driveway is a little tricky for parking/turning around. The hot tub was great. Kitchen had everything we needed. The house is in a great location to go into Bryson City and Cherokee. Great hikes and waterfalls all around.

Nature's Retreat....A Wonderful Getaway
Had a fantastic stay.....well stocked and we enjoyed the house and area immensely. Enjoyed cooking our meals in and eating out on the porch....nice and quiet and loved hearing the river below. Copying from a previous review...."The driveway was adequate but the lane going past the home is private so we had to do a 3 point turn in the driveway in our 21 foot long pickup which was a bit of a challenge but doable." Overall a great stay and we certainly have no reservations about a return trip.
