Souci de chauffage mais l’hôte nous a prévenu directement et nous a mis à notre disposition des chauffages d’appoint mais qui malheureusement ne fonctionnaient pas très bien.

Ruim appartement. Locatie midden in het centrum is fijn. Slaapkamers ruim.

Dit appartement heeft geen ramen waardoor je een opgesloten gevoel hebt, daardoor ook donker. Rioollucht in de badkamer. Ingewikkelde sleutel-instructie. En raar dat ook de auto om 11.00 uur van de parkeerplaats moest terwijl de volgende gasten pas im 15.00 uur kwamen.

We were a group of 4 adults, arriving early afternoon, staying here for 5 nights. This apartment is not suitable for 4 adults, not enough space to store suitcases or walk around sofa beds. When we arrived only small handtowels were supplied, showertowels and some kitchen items were missing. Notifying the owner straight away it took him 8 hours to deliver 2 showertowels, for 4 people. It was by then 22:30. The shower drain was so blocked that after 30 seconds into taking a shower the bathroom was flooded. Notifying the owner straight away again, one of us spent a whole next morning in the apartment while the drain was being unblocked. Three days into our stay we received 2 more showertowels. Totally unbelievable and unprofessional, we were 4 adults. Although we were told by the owner that we would receive a substantial refund for all these inconveniences, we have not heard nor received anything yet, four weeks after our stay.

I had two communication problems. I first received all instructions in German, which I only understand partially. My main problem was the parking procedure. To receive the English version I could answer by mail or phone at a number. I send a mail but it was returned to me because of unreliability?? I then phoned the received number about 8 times over the next 2 hours, but nobody ever answered!! After penetrating in the appartment, I deciphered a new German message well enough and then things went well. One of the problem was that the appartment was in the middle of Trier with an adress unreachable by the car navigation system. Some warnings in different languages could have been handy!!! Trier is a beautiful town...

Close to city centre

Nothing. It was all good.

The location is close to main sites & tourist areas. There are shops nearby for everyday goods and groceries. Whilst I didn't have need for them, there were a very good suit of facilities in the kitchen and a clean modern though small bathroom. The owner was very helpful with information and responded quickly to my question on access. He also asked in there was anything else he could supply.

The entrance is grim located above a vacant shop and dirty looking porch. ( not the fault of the owner I guess) The key lock was awful to use and staircase lighting didn't function well. The sleeping area was like a bedsit with sofa, desk & empty bookcase which felt more a practical room rather than comfortable one. It is an apartment and if you want a workdesk, great range of appliances, comfy sofa, it works very well but as a stopover room, I found it expensive for the level of comfort.
