Venez profiter de l'île des palmiers comme nous l'avons depuis de nombreuses années et être aussi près de la plage que possible sans la circulation de Palm Blvd. Nous sommes situés à un pâté de maisons de la plage (300 mètres) avec accès à la plage sur les 23e et 25e avenues. Nous sommes à distance de marche du centre-ville pour les restaurants et bars de plage.
La maison est l'une des maisons d'origine construites sur l'île avec beaucoup de charme et d'histoire. Nous avons acheté la maison il y a plus de 20 ans et avons élevé les enfants ici. Nous avons rénové la maison plusieurs fois au fil des ans pour la mettre à jour. J'espère que vous viendrez profiter de la maison et créerez des souvenirs de famille comme nous l'avons fait au fil des ans.
La maison dispose de six chambres, trois à l'étage et deux en bas. Deux salles de bain complètes sont à l'étage et une en bas. Le rez-de-chaussée n'a pas d'étapes, donc si quelqu'un qui vient en voyage a un handicap à mobilité réduite ou est lié à un fauteuil roulant, c'est la maison parfaite. La cuisine est située au premier étage et s'ouvre par les portes françaises sur le porche arrière et la piscine.
Le premier étage a deux chambres, une avec un lit queen et la seconde avec un roi et un ensemble de lits superposés supplémentaires. Le premier étage n'a pas de marches. Ceci est idéal pour la famille avec des membres âgés ou handicapés de la famille. Le premier étage a une grande salle familiale équipée d'un écran plat de 42 pouces et d'un son surround. La chaîne stéréo est équipée pour desservir les porches avant et arrière avec de la musique avec des commandes sonores indépendantes, tandis que les enfants regardent la télévision à l'intérieur. Le porche blindé avant a deux balançoires de porche et un planeur parfait pour un bon livre et des temps d'arrêt.
La cuisine est très bien équipée pour les petits à grands groupes avec tous les ustensiles de cuisine, casseroles, poêles, mixeur, Keurig. Nous avons un gril sur la terrasse de la piscine et du propane fourni.
Nous avons deux porches avant, le porche inférieur est blindé avec deux balançoires et un planeur pour les couchers de soleil du soir et les orages de fin d'après-midi. Le porche supérieur est accessible depuis la chambre principale et l'extérieur. Il n'est pas blindé, en plein air avec un hamac et des sièges supplémentaires.
Le porche arrière est l'endroit où le plaisir se produit. Il est équipé de chaises berçantes et d'une grille pour le barbecue du soir. La piscine est isolée et bien éclairée. Nous avons une douche extérieure et de nombreuses chaises longues pour les bains de soleil.
Tous les draps, serviettes, vêtements de lavage, etc. sont fournis.
Isle of Palms est situé à 20 minutes du centre-ville historique de Charleston SC. Vous et vos invités pourrez profiter des excursions en calèche, des antiquités, du shopping et de la meilleure nourriture du Sud.

Great location, great house, great people

It was everything we needed for our family vacation. Plenty of bedrooms, close to the beach. Older construction but well maintained and outfitted/decorated/furnished. The outside shower was very helpful when returning from the beach. There was plenty of space for parking cars and rented golf carts.

My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home at Isle of Palms. Phil communicated with us prior to and during our stay. He was so helpful with anything we needed, including arranging for the pool to be heated during our stay. We visited the SC Aquarium in Charleston one evening and then stayed on Isle of Palms for dinners out at the local restaurants the other evenings. (Acme Low Country Kitchen is fantastic!) We enjoyed having the main living areas including the kitchen on the ground floor, which made it very easy on our old lab to get around. We will definitely return!

1. Dirty underwear was found in a corner under a chair upon arrival.
2. There is mold in the shower stall downstairs because there is no fan or air vent so it’s difficult to get dry in such a tiny space with no air flow.
3. There is mold on the upstairs shower curtain as well.
4. Make sure you bring garbage bags for the bathroom cans and the kitchen trash can.
5. The cancellation policy is fluid so apparently he changes it when he wants to. I booked 10 months in advance with the cancellation policy stating that a full refund would be given for cancellation within 30 days of arrival. When I needed to cancel the host was rude and whined about it. I agreed to stay because I am not accustomed to being treated in this manner and was completely caught off guard.
6. Be aware that you will not be able to use the oven when you are there. We had to throw away food that we opened and were about to prepare until the smell of gas became so strong that it would have posed a danger if we had not immediately shut it off.
7. The host showed up on the day before our departure unannounced to cut the grass but then didn’t and it did need it. We were, however able to tell him about the oven.
8. Communication is at the hosts discretion. He doesn’t list the instructions for check in at 4pm so at 4:30 after trying to make contact regarding check in instructions 4 times throughout the day we chanced it and the door was open thank goodness. I did hear back from him somewhere between 6:15-6:30pm. He then stated that the instructions were in a booklet which we found. They state that there should be a key well, there is not. There is a code which he gave me, thankfully this time answering a text. Clearly the book of instructions needs an update.
9. Bottom line, the host seems only interested in making money but not making the rental suitable for the prices he charges. 8, 500.00 for 1 week even in this location for the headaches we had to endure were not worth it. He stated that if you contact him directly and not through the insured booking sites you can get a much better price. I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would wish to stay at such a place for any amount of money a second time but if you are that person good luck!

Great weekend getaway!
We stayed at this awesome beach getaway for a girls weekend getaway. It was perfect. Tons of room and well stocked. It was a short walk to the beach and with lots of local good restaurants and short trip to downtown. We loved the quaint, quiet little town of Isle of Palms. We will definitely be back.

What a great location with old southern charm. This home has a beach cottage vibe to it which was lovely. We had 10 adults with us. (All children were 18 and up.)They enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the pool on premise and enjoyed the walks/bike rides for other local activities. The Marina has paddle board and kayaks for rent. We were able to enjoy a day exploring the inner coastal.
It was very easy to communicate with the property owner as well. Management got back to us with in an hour if we needed anything g at all.

What a great location with old southern charm. This home has a beach cottage vibe to it which was lovely. We had 10 adults with us. (All children were 18 and up.)They enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the pool on premise and enjoyed the walks/bike rides for other local activities. The Marina has paddle board and kayaks for rent. We were able to enjoy a day exploring the inner coastal.

Can’t say enough about Phil! Phil was a great communicator before and during our stay. We had a small problem with the kitchen sink clogging on our second day there. Phil was there by 10 am the next day to fix the drain and even brought us freshly caught Mahi ! A very kind and personable host. We had 2 elderly parents and 5 other adults plus an infant in the house and did not feel crowded. The 2 porches are so nice to sit and relax, pool area is wonderful. The house itself is a bit older than I expected but really charming. The master suite is lovely, bed was very comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good except the tile floor downstairs which appeared to need a good mopping. Location is perfect, away from the noisy main road but east walk to beach. My elderly parents had no trouble.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. Thanks, Phil !

Can’t say enough about Phil! Phil was a great communicator before and during our stay. We had a small problem with the kitchen sink clogging on our second day there. We were looking for a get away for our family and a few of their friends. This house was the perfect fit! There was plenty of room for everyone and the beach access and heated pool were awesome! We came in early March so the heated pool was a win!We will not look anywhere else for our next visit to IOP, can't wait to return!
