The accommodation is on the first floor of the most beautiful family home. The room is beautifully decorated and really quirky, we stayed in the summer but I imagine in the winter it’s very special with all the twinkly lights and Christmas decor. in summer it’s also fabulous though, the views of the river are beautiful. We had a lovely time grilling by the little jetty and the owner very kindly lit the outdoor sauna for us.

Would have been nice to have a folder in the room with some suggestions of what to do locally.

It is cold in corridor, so going to wc is not such comfortable 😁

The host was very friendly. They made lovely breakfast for our Christmas Day. The sauna next to the lake was a great experience, we truly enjoyed it. The view and the walk on the frozen lake were wonderful too. The host couldn’t speak much English, they used the Google translate to talk to us and tried to get a sledge and ski for us. Very friendly family and a true taste of Finland. They even gave us a box of chocolates for Christmas! towels and comfy bedding were provided. The indoor sauna was very nicely decorated too.

The room is quite small for four of us. The sitting area above the stairs were cold so unusable.

Amazing B&B. The accommodation was very cosy and sauna was pre-heated at arrival so it was so good to relax after a long drive. Bed was very comfortable. Beautiful house and room with river view. Very friendly host and welcoming! And very tasty local breakfast.

Our stay with Suzanna and Petten was one of the highlights of our trip to Finland recently. The host couple are incredibly welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The accommodation was very cozy and decorated in a wonderfully eclectic style. In addition to a lovely private sauna in the bathroom, there is also a beautiful, rustic, sauna located by the river, where you can, if you're brave enough, jump into the ice cold water to cool off. The breakfasts provided were also memorable (as was the koskenkorva-fuelled BBQ session), but at the end of the day, what made this place particularly special was the genuine warm-heartedness of the hosts - Suzanna and Petten themselves.

My only qualification, if absolutely pushed, would be that the surrounding area is not as beautiful as some other parts of Finnish Lapland that we visited, but having said that, there are perfectly good walking and canoeing options nearby.

Super cosy accommodation. Excellent bed and high quality towels available. The sauna by the river was great experience even for a Finn.
