My stay at Halle was great! My room was clean, spacious, quiet, and had a phenomenal sunset view. The bed was very comfortable as well. I travelled solo to Lalibela and this hotel felt very safe. The hotel manager Belay was very responsive to all my questions/concerns and helped me with everything I needed during my stay from walking me to where I wanted to go to lending me an electrical adapter. The hotel itself is around 5-7 minute tuk tuk ride from the churches (so rather close but away from the town center so it’s quiet and peaceful). I would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed the mountain views and the proximity of the Lalibela churches made it easier for us. The place was clean and also comfortable. Staff was helpful, and price per value was really a good deal 🙌

The breakfast was great, and the host was so sweet making sure that we had everything we would need to make our stay a memorable one. I would highly suggest the hotel for any visitors, and the sunset views from the balcony are a MAJOR PLUS!

It is a family run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It is spotlessly clean and in a perfect location with magnificent views. It is quiet and peaceful.

The hotel is brand new with no frills, a work in progress, but definitely progressing in the right direction. The rooms are modern and comfortable but very basic. The hotel has no facilities but next door is a well established hotel with a restaurant, place to sit outside etc and so it’s easy to just go there.

The property is very new and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The manger is always online via messages on booking so he helps so solve any questions that may happen.

The only problem is that the hot water didn’t work, but they are already working on it.

Apart from the view on the balcony, nothing. It was fairly close to town centre. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets.

We arrived in the morning and were told the electricity would come on at night,it never did. I understand Lalibela has damaged infrastructure due to the war, but Halle Hotel did not have a little generator to provide electricity,unlike all the other hotels in town. No hot water,no electricity. In the morning we were told that breakfast was served nearby,this turned into a taxi ride to another hotel that was unaware we were coming so we waited a long time to have breakfast. I have stayed in hotels that charge 10 dollars a night for the same service,and that's fine. I complained to the manager about the high price and he said he'd give me a 5 percent discount,which he never did.
