The Wi-fi was very good. The AC worked pretty well.

Shower pressure was a bit low.

There was no breakfast. Location was good but not great as the property is on a dirt road.

Finding property location and locating personnel to check us in was extremely difficult. The place was not ready for us on arrival; dirty bathroom sinks, showers, door mats full of ants and dead roach on floor by refrigerator. Building security was wholly inadequate. It does not follow local security norms seen through out Ghana. The cottage is in the same compound as a restaurant that is open late (no wall/ fence between the restaurant and the cottage). Most homes in Ghana have wire/ sharp bars over the security walls, bars on the windows and security bars on the doors. This unit has none of these. In a traumatic incidence we were robbed of money and electronics in the middle of the night while we slept with our two young kids a night before we check out!

I stayed at Northwood Gardens for 2 nights with a friend. It’s very well located in East Legon, the grounds itself is the show piece, it’s a very big event venue, very well manicured and maintained! You simply could not complain about the views at the bedrooms, the Garden is an oasis from the bustling Accra scene. The property itself is very decent, clean, well decorated with homely touches and filled with all the amenities I would need for my stay. It’s very well lit with a stocked fridge, microwave, kettle and air conditioning unit in every room apart from the bathroom. The shower has decent water pressure. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately the WiFi was not working which was slightly disappointing. However that was due to circumstances outside of the Northwood Garden Owner’s control as the WiFi in the whole area was out of service due to the heavy rain fall.

Everything about the place. Looks amazing on the website but definitely looks nothing like it. The place is very small, very clustered and barely have space to put anything. Doesn’t have kitchen as well. They also have drinks in the fridge taking up space and charges you if you do happen to drink it as well. I personally didn’t like it😖

I absolutely loved this place, the location was perfect, there is a taxi stand very close, that made it very easy to move around. The place was exceptionally clean. The staff was very friendly and readily available to fill our every need. This will now be my home away from home. When I come to Ghana, I cant imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you Northwood Gardens for a wonderful time. ❤️
