Chalet was spacious and comfortable.

It would have been nice to have an empty cupboard available to store some of our own stuff, food etc.

We (one couple and a friend) stayed in a very nice fully wooden cabin ('Sleat'), located on a small scale camping ground. It's family oriented with one double bedroom, one bunkbed bedroom, and a small 1st floor with optional (air)beds. There's a nice porch outside that overlooks a meadow. It's close to village and city, but very quiet and relaxed. There's cooking facilities inside, and it's close to the bath house. The owners are always available to help, and their friendly dogs keep watch (and actually make rounds). We were there for a multi day rock festival in Leeuwarden, and the contrast was refreshing.

It's really lovely but if you're spoiled, get a hotel. This is a typical, small, quiet Dutch camping. You need to be self sufficient. There are some sports and play facilities but no pool, no camping store on site, no animation. This specific cabin is pretty new and did not yet have running water, this should be added by summer 2024.
